To be fair regarding the physics of being blown across the room, I once got a shock from my guitar (screwing in the whammy bar) and was literally thrown backwards, strap broke, guitar on the ground and I hit the wall. I probably went about 6 feet from a sitting position from my chair to the wall. I can't imagine what force did the throwing, the only thing I can conclude is I must have kicked my legs out or something, but it didn't seem like it. One minute I was sitting, next minute my back was hitting the wall. Burned my hand too. I've also had other bizarre things happen that sound far fetched such as catching my boot in the spokes of my bike, being thrown over the handlebars flat on my back, the bike running over my face leaving a literal tire tread mark down it, carrying on down the road riderless and me having to get up and chase it. If I hadn't had it happen to me I wouldn't believe that to be physically possible. PS: I met Alex Skolnick and Greg Christian before a show with Testament. Bought Greg a beer, he seemed really depressed and left the band not long after.

Imagine if Mtv had been fair to rock and metal. It would have been beautiful.
@ZackMorris10155 ай бұрын
To he fair, 80's MTV was pretty much all rock. Especially the glam scene. Then '91 happened and grunge became the new exciting thing. The mid 90's MTV did habe rock/metal programs, but this was also when rap/r&b really blew up. This is also the period where MTV introduced stuff like The Real World and Road Rules. Some of, if not the first "reality tv" shows. They were such a hit that MTV never looked back. Today, MTV is essentially the 24 hour Ridiculousness/Catfish channel. It's trash. Ironically, on satellite, MTV has multiple channels. The main one is trash but the other channel DOES play rock/metal videos from the 80's and 90's. But you have to pay extra to get the channel. MTV knows what people want. But for some reason, they refuse to give them that.

@@Platinumpuppy understandable. Yeah I mean it's ironic. In the 80's it was MTV to a large extent that shined a hige spotlight on the rock scene. But then around '91 when grunge happened, TV AND radio execs saw it as a new exciting thing and made it seem as if rock wasn't relevant anymore. It wasn't that rock/metal died in the 90s, because both genre's had MASSIVE followings. It was simply a matter of the executives in charge of tv and radio trying their hardest to hide and downplay their music while promoting something else as the new thing.

There was a big, long, chunky period in which you couldn't put on the channel without Anthrax on the tv screen. They even jumped on the metal/rap fusion with the Public Enemy blended w metal for "Bring The Noise". & If not THAT., the outcry for the Indians by Joey Beladonna got way overplayed so much that Iwill never again see an Indian Chief Head Dress on ANYONE without seeing the singers face inside of it, prancing around on the stage following the Scott Ian chant "WAR DANCE!", let alone the countless other videos that were made AFTER that voideo over the years until they stopped airing music videos altogether. If it hadn't been for MTV's excessive Anthrax airplay, myself & millions of other music fans would barely ever heard of the band...if at all. Admit it Bello, your band faded bc you goiys never wrote, played, or contributed to the world any more good, worthy of top level recognition music after while. Completely agree. First Korn album is better than any thrash record

Yeah, Dan played sloppy and got kicked out of Anthrax and then co-formed grind band Brutal Truth which was noisy chaotic political grind that kicked anthrax’s ass.

Brutal Truth are terrible.

Anthrax shouldn't even be in the Big four. Testament should be. Nobody listens to Anthrax. They are a shity version of iron maiden that nobody in the metal game takes seriously. They're more like a party metal band

Do you even know what the "big four" signify? Obviously not

What an ignorant comment . The big 4 does not mean " the bands you like over the bands I like ".

You know the "Big Four" moniker is all label marketing right? They were called that because they sold the most records.

They were the first 4 thrash bands signed to major labels, that's all. It's not the Best 4.
