I shook Ol's hand when they supported Suicidal Tendencies, at the Electric Ballroom in London. He had just finished having a selfie with another fan, and was walking out of the gig (?) He had a train ticket in his hand, and must have thought I was trying to steal it. I just said "I'm a big fan", and carried on going.

I feel so vindicated knowing that one of Ol's favorite riffs on the new album is from *The Thing (1982)*, it has got to be one of my most favorite tracks as of recent. I love the entire album but Thing just stands out to me those most right now that I can't not ignore it. Learning how to play it has been a challenge and in fact just that snippet Ol showed helped immensely.

A little anecdote: my best friend showed me Evile for the first time in 2014 and since then I've been a fan of the band. In 2020 I was a viewer of Ol Drake's streams on Twitch, in one of those he was playing the beginning Rust In Peace and I had arrived late, Ol asked me what song I wanted him to replay, I told him Lucretia, humble man and good person.
