+John Palczewski you know what sucks the most, very recently I got to watch the house documentary called "pump up the volume" and it was just great! i fell back in love with house music again...so then i watched one of his boiler room sets from back in 2013 and was just floored, was soooo good! i told myself "man i need to find this guy and see him live, killer!!" then i stumbled across this video and then cross referenced it with wikipedia, it damn near ruined my day to find out he just recently passed away and I missed seeing him by only a year..... if only we could rewind time.... He will definitely be missed by many!

I first heard Mr. Frankie Knuckles, when i was a teenager in New York City's Sound Factory. I was in true amazement. This DJ, I only saw in glowing silhouette in the DJ's booth form the dance floor. The music was actually speaking to me. His grooves gave me life. As a lost soul with many others on the dance floor, liberation echoed from the speakers, releasing the feeling of being lost and alone, with no way of true expression. I found my love, form the man who loved house music, and i have been a fan ever since. You will be missed.

I first met Frankie Knuckles when I first moved to Chicago in the Summer of 1977 when I was roommates with Robert Williams who managed the Warehouse . I would go in the DJ booth to watch him spend the turn tables to end. I will cherish those years for the rest of my life. He was truly the Godfarther of House there will be no other.
