My favorite band. Not 1 bad song. I'm a Gen Xer. This would fit right in in 1993. I'm glad another generation is making high quality music

Agree. I was there 3-4 people behind the stage and arguably the audio here is more balanced. Thank you Lou!

@SuperTakkino thanks guys. Yeah, the sound was recorded as a multi track and professionally mixed, so sounds pretty decent.

Wow, absolutely awesome sound quality. This could be easily be released as a live album!! Thanks so much for uploading this

The sound was professionally recorded and mixed, so yes, it could certainly be mastered into a live album. 🙏

@@LouSmith i think this sounds amazing! i'm curious, if someone were to master it into a live album how would it differ? There's nothing I can hear that "needs improvement" in the mix

Veruca salt with a little Smashing Pumpkins tone and Liz Phair esque vibe. Totally dig it. Brought me right back to college in the 90's

Yo. Thanks a ton for uploading this gem! The audio quality is crisp as hell, really brings out the raw energy of the track. Gotta say, Momma fucking rocks - they're absolutely killing it here.
@LouSmith27 күн бұрын
Thanks. The crisp audio is courtesy of the sound engineer who recorded and mixed the audio for me. I wish I had that for all the video I shoot, but it’s nearly impossible to achieve in reality. This was a rare (for me) paid gig where their engineer (also paid) came up with the goods. As I don’t typically get paid for any of the work I do to bring you this content, I can’t offer incentives for people to record, mix and submit the sound recordings. The only exceptions are when a band member also has the skills and time to do it for me, their incentive being the improved output to help promote their music. Often a black hole appears whenever I am given an assurance that the audio is being taken care of, only to find that’s not the case upon request.

@@LouSmith Thanks for this anecdote. That explains why the lows aren't bloated / distorted! As so many smaller amplified gigs are mired by bad sound engineering, the actual night restored my faith 😆A nice memento of the night!
@LouSmith6 күн бұрын
@SuperTakkino yeah. It was a great night. They weren’t really in my radar before I was invited to come and film this. I’m glad I did. It’s been a good fit for my channel, and people are really appreciating being able to watch, so win-win. 🙂
@HANKUS4 күн бұрын
@@LouSmith I've had really good results using a Zoom H-6 for recording several gigs. You toss it somewhere and it will record a good XY of the place. You can even get the mixer to feed you an XLR/Aux out. Depends on the relation/size of the show.... it won't be this level good, but does much better than a phone/camera and gets low end

If we could have twice as many bands like this as we do pop stars we’d be doing alright. You guys are awesome, glad your generation is restoring my faith in original artists. Now if you could tour with Hannah Jadagu and Slow Pulp with a venue somewhere in NY, PA, or Vermont I’d be forever grateful.
