For a band with a famously wobbly relationship with professionalism, this is as tight as it gets! Wow!

They sound great here. All of these players are top notch, and to be fair always were, but then drugs and a lo fi aesthetic. It went with the territory for then. There’s no highly fissile temperaments left apart from Lias onstage persona, so they should be able to pro up as a booking proposition too.

Listening to this from Quebec city, and dreaming of seeing them in a show like this. If only they could expand their tour somewhere near me! Thank you Lou!

Aww. Thanks so much Stephie. I’m sure if the upcoming tour goes well, they may venture further afield. Fingers crossed for you. In the mean time, happy to bring you some of it from here. There will be more.

Live is better than record version
@LouSmith8 ай бұрын
I’ve been listening to the whole set a fair bit, and all of it spends pretty good live. Fat White Family have always had the reputation of being a phenomenal live outfit. I’ve heard enough people say their records never quite captured that energy.

@@phhuynh9881 thank you. I’m doing my job then. I saw them at their first ever appearance back in 2011. This channel more or less existed to bring them to the world. You can follow their entire history on this channel if you dig down.

whats your favorite song of the album, lou?
@LouSmith9 ай бұрын
I’ve only listened to it all a couple of times. I really like Religion for One so far, though I think there’s a few sleepers. Work is a banger. You?
@asiago3159 ай бұрын
@@LouSmith i hoped the same quality of the singles but it doesnt, the album have a lot of really good songs and some of they are sleepers that i have listened only once time. My favorites in order are what's that you say, probably work, bullet and the others. The official work's video is the best if you ask me

Is Nathan preforming with them?

Watch this space. He wasn’t playing here for sure, and he has embarked on a new project with ex FWF bassist Joe and a producer friend Ritchie called Uncle Daddy which I think is going to be an exciting new direction for him.

@roanchis5033 yep. They seem very excited, so I’m guessing it’s gonna be good. Joe is playing hard guitar on it he said. Dunno if you’ve seen him on guitar, but he’s pretty good. They all sing.

@@LouSmith interviewed him a month or two ago, he said his first instrument is definitely guitar, took me by surprise as i first saw him playing bass, but hearing him play guitar i can absolutely see why, cracking guitarist
@LouSmith9 ай бұрын
Ah cool. Yes, have you seen him playing with Y? He gets to pay what he likes there, and I love his playing. Reminds me of what I love about Mick Jones or Robert Smith. You're never far away from a sweet guitar lick, but never over indulgent. Most recent gig here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3KThqOHaqucpsUsi=JcDiKW-rTBchlLuX Also Scud FM where he's definitely part of the impetus towards more metal!
