Armand loved Louis. You could see the jealousy and pain when Louis was describing his hallucinations of Lestat and feeling him breathing on his neck. It’s also the reason he didn’t tell Louis Lestat’s message when he was injured. He feared losing Louis. He made a terrible decision and plot in Paris. I don’t think he knew Louis loved him so deeply until Madeline told him but the plot was already in motion. He should have stopped it though. He looked distraught and unsure as he stood in the diner door way. Louis was uncommitted though and Armand wanted him but Louis seemed unsure but it was because he was still hurting over Lestat. He was burdened by Lou’s words that he was not fascinating. Torn when Louis tried to leave him through a SA. So yes I believe his love was real as much as it was also manipulative.

Their relationship is breaking my heart! And I'm here for it. They seem to suit each other so well. But they both came with a trauma and lestat fucking up both of them. The foundation of their relationship is so rough that it was destined to be wrong, violent and to fail in the end. Tho I love it as messed up as it is with Armand betraying Louis in such a horrible way. I need to say I love Armand for everything he is. Sometimes I hate him but it doesn't change the fact he's still interesting to me. As for Louis, I think his end game always gonna be Lestat

I cant have enough of this Louis: here he is finally looks like himself again strong and brave and knowing what he wants . Just the way that he was in New Orlean in the beginning of the story. Season 3, Armand needs to explain to Louis and us viewers why he wanted Louis dead. I understand why he would want Claudia out of the picture, but why Louis. Is it because of his past, the abuse he endured as being part of a brothel, that makes him believe he's not worthy of love? What is it, Armand???

I think it's interesting that Louis owned a brothel himself in this adaptation. I know it probably doesn't matter in terms of characters' relationship and feelings to each other but it could be a thing to reflect on About the question, I think Armand wanted to kill Louis bc he chose the coven, vampires who he spend 200 years with over unreliable Louis who probably won't last that long. Of course Louis won't want him back after Claudia 's death. So it's either Armand choosing coven or Louis and Claudia. Louis is unreliable for Armand for several reasons. Firstly, Armand probably doesn't think he can be loved bc of his past trauma. Secondly Louis always gonna remember and love lestat. Thirdly, lestat hurt Armand in the past by not choosing him, so Armand is rejecting lestat through Louis. It seems to me that there are so much sense for Armand to kill Louis in Paris and carry on with his life. But he suffers with vampire loneliness which could lead to the edge of death and Louis brings the sparkle of life to him, gives him meaning to live Sorry for such long answer, I'm reflecting on the show after it's ending

Lestat tried to make Louis to become a monster but Louis was better than that, but he only eats humans when they did him wrong. Now look at Armand’s and Louis’s relationship: Louis wanted to have a calm relationship with certain vampire who understands him and that was Armand. One thing they have in common: they both had a relationship with lestat and it brought them together bc of him.

I'm going to sound controversial, but their relationship hurt me much more. Louis and Lestat always had their cards on the table. I think Louis and Armand hid a lot from each other. I wonder how they spent those 77 years together. What they did, where they were, etc... I thought the final fight in s2e08 was going to be a lot more tumultuous and Armand was going to be more of a contrarian somehow. Although now that I think about it, it was a good ending. Their relationship has always been fragile. Everything fell apart.

This edit is simply gorgeous! Louis was traumatized by the apartheid-system that grew as a poison around he and his people. Lestat comes along with promises he knows well that he cannot fulfill, yet Louis wants to believe his sly words, only to sacrifice himself to one who never possessed what Louis genuinely needs, for Lestat is incapable of love. Armand is also a vampire, but even with those tragic traits within him, still possesses everything that Louis needs and more! This edit surfaces those aspects most beautifully❣

Lestat is capable of love. The show temporarily doesn’t portray the immense love that Lestat had for Louis in the books that well rn because this is Louis’s POV and we do know that his POV has been sullied by Armand’s mind swaying powers

Louis and Rmand had their romance in the books. . As for knowing the real Lestat? Have you seen that promo video of Lestat having his on interview where you hear Daniel coughing uncontrollably, I am sure brought on by Lestat. Lestat in a nutshell in the promovideo is a full on diva. The viewer knows the real Lestat. Louis may have gotten some parts wrong. But three vampires (Louis, Claudia and Armand and on occasion, Antoinette) came to the same conclusion about Lestat, they knew him all too well.

Maybe armand wanted Louis dead because he’s jealous of Louis because lestat loves Louis for real. Something that Armand has always wanted from lestat but can’t have because he’s not what lestat wanted. Him getting rid of the competition to finally have Lestat or rather hurt Lestat the way he’s been heart broken🤷🏿‍♀️. I think Armand might have loved Louis because of his closeness to Lestat. It made Louis more intriguing because “here’s this man that’s been hurt by the same man I loved” and he might have thought maybe this was his chance to finally get revenge on Lestat. Louis choosing Armand was primarily based off pettiness, it was simply to hurt Lestat because we know how heart breaking it is for Lestat to see Louis leave him or share him with someone else.Armand goes along with it because it’s the ultimate revenge he’s been yearning for. To see Lestat succumb to that level of hurt. Lestat not telling Louis the truth is because he knows Louis wouldn’t believe him or because the show runners wanted to give lestat his own time to interview and explain himself why he did the thing he did in S3. I only hope in the new season we get to Louis and Lestat relationship grow because Lestat has stopped munching on human beings and that last episode finale he seemed more human because of his thoughts about Claudia death and him finally seeing Claudia as a daughter and himself a father. Also about Akasha blood? Does it mean that Claudia will come back? Because apparently Lestat can’t die so does that mean Louis can’t die? Because technically they also have akasha blood🤷🏿‍♀️

This was an amazing edit These two break my heart. I knew they weren't going to last but i wish they did. I knew there was manipulation involved but I wish there wasn't. I loved how romatic those first few episodes in Paris were. How they finished each others sentence in Dubai when reminiscing, lost in the joy of the memory, staring at each other with love. I knew it wouldn't last but it was so real to me I know if things were different it could've worked out. I hope we at least get to see them fight in season 3, all that built up resentment between the fleeting romatic moments over 77 years and Louis just left without saying much of anything. I at least want to see them screaming at each other, for closure, more for me then them atp

I agree. I believe they loved each other as they could as the broken person could love. I mean they couldn't last 77 years if they didn't love each other at all. While I get why Louis left so quickly without saying anything. He probably thought about Claudia first and about her death. I wish there was a fight between him and Armand cause there are so many feelings about his betrayal and love

This edit is amazing, so sad and melancholic, bittersweet 😢😢 the music made it even better. I truly believe they loved each other at one point, but they shouldn't have done a lot of things they did to each other, and definitely should have broke up after the fire in the Theater, but I understand that Armand had just lost his family of vampires (I feel like he wanted to get away from them anyways), now he was all alone and I think he didn't wanted to be alone, so he lied to Louis and stayed with him. Or he should've left when they had that terrible fight in San Francisco, he would've helped himself and Louis.

Armand couldn't leave cause he needs someone to build his life around. As I see it he didn't choose Louis cause he seemed to unreliable unlike his coven of 200 years. Moreover, Louis was suicidal in 70s so Armand definitely couldn't leave him at that point. I agree, Armand should have left or let Louis go. They would have been better without each. But I also agree that they loved each other as they could

Eu acho que teve vários momentos que ele contou a verdade, tipo quando ele disse que se interessou pelo Louis assim que viu ele em Paris, ou em Dubai quando ele falou pro Daniel que omitiu algumas coisas porque ele não era obrigado a mostrar o seu lado vulnerável pro Daniel, ou quando ele disse que não tinha percebido o tanto que o Lestat tomava conta da mente do Louis em Paris. Dá pra perceber que ele não tá mentindo. O problema é que ele passou por muitos traumas e ele tem medo de ficar sozinho, então ele usa a mentira como uma proteção pra não se revelar, e ele acha que será abandonado. Eu acho que eles não deveriam ter ficado juntos depois do incêndio no teatro, mas o Armand perdeu a "familia" de vampiros que ele tinha, assim que o Louis perguntou se ele salvou ele, ele mentiu para continuar com o Louis e não ficar sozinho, agora ele não tinha mais ninguém. Com certeza deveriam ter terminado depois daquela briga em San Francisco, mas o Louis tentou se mat*r logo depois, ele tava com o psicológico abalado e o Armand não poderia deixar ele sozinho naquele estado, não sabemos se o Louis realmente pediu para sua memória ser apagada, mas pode ser que sim, então eles continuaram juntos como se nada tivesse acontecido. O que eu acho é que eles realmente se amavam, mas eles estavam muito quebrados pra ficarem um com o outro. Devem aprender a se amar primeiro antes de entrar em outro relacionamento.

I think there were several moments when Armand shows he loves or loved Louis, like when he said he was interested in Louis as soon as he saw him, or when he said Louis chose death over him in San Francisco, also when he said he hadn't realized how much Lestat took over Louis' mind in Paris, you can see he is clearly sad. The problem is that Armand has been through a lot of trauma and he is afraid of being alone, so he uses lies as a protection to not reveal himself, as he thinks he will be abandoned. I think they shouldn't have been together after the theater fire, but Armand lost the "family" of vampires he had, as soon as Louis asked if he saved him, he lied to stay with Louis and not be alone because he had no one left. They certainly should have broken up after that fight in San Francisco, but Louis tried to k*ll himself right after, Louis was mentally unstable and Armand couldn't leave him alone in that state, we don't know if Louis really asked for his memory to be erased, maybe he did, so they just continued together as if nothing had happened. What I think is, they really loved each other at one point, but they were too broken to be together. They should learn to love themselves first before getting into another relationship.
