5:28 the way i hate and love santiago at the same time lmao he's just so cool, i can't help it. kind of reminds me of lestat actuallly. their behaviour, humour, charisma and even temper are so similar. i even thought that maybe santiago admired lestat (or envied him) and wanted to be like him. i wish we saw a little bit more of their relationship and just santiago's back story because i'm still curious how he became a part of the coven and who turned him. i really hope we'll see him in lestat's story in the next season.

yeah he’s such an interesting character. i had watched the pilot of the show when it came out but nothing more until i saw gifs of santiago. his performance was so impressive even like that. i was bound to watch it anyway but i’m grateful for that extra push. he definitely has complicated feelings about lestat, which is relatable. i’m not sure we’ll see more of him since he already got to be a bigger character than he previously was but ben daniels looked like an absolute delight to work with so i’m sure they’d love a reason to have him back

Never watched or read Interview With a Vampire so I always assumed it took place in the 1980s. Is it 1920s-30s?

The time period was moved up for the show

The book takes place in the 1790s with the interview happening in the 1970s but the show changed it to the 1910s-40s with the interview in the 2020s because the movie had already portrayed a more book accurate time period and they wanted to change other aspects
