@@rbloobloo16 I don't wanna be rude, but people have been doing weed even when this song came out, my friend. Some of those things are incomparable to another. "I hear babies cry, I watch them grow They'll learn much more than I'll never know" This is so profound. My grandfather hitching a plow to his horse to go till his field would never know while holding me as a baby that 60 years later I can stream live videos instantly from another continent on a device I can hold in my hand. The baby that I hold will do things in 60 years that I can't even conceive of today.

This song makes me cry so bad. To me, this song is from a point of view of an elder person. This person is just looking and appreciating every single little thing. This person knows that their years on earth are counted and this person is happy with that, at that’s why they are enjoying every aspect of life. This song is just too beautiful. ❤

Little background info about this song : Contrary to widespread believe this song was not composed by Louis Armstrong himself, but written and composed by Bob Thiele and George David Weiss, always with Armstrong in mind as the possible interpreter. However Louis Armstrong made the song surely his own by his unique style of interpretation.

Stop with these words, you don't even know who he was outside of the cameras. Have you lived with him, were his best friend? To recognize his skills in the trumpet, ok, it´s totally fine! But, idolizing a person that only exists in your mind, thinking he had a beautiful heart only by watching him inside the screen of the tv/smartphone? That's a terrible way to admire someone.

A friend of mine died recently. We weren't super close, but we would sometimes call each other and I'd sing parody versions of this song in my flawless Armstrong impression. She wasn't even particularly a fan of this song, but it meant something to our relatively brief friendship. We only knew each other for a few years, but I don't think I'll ever forget her.

This song brings me to tears everytime I hear it. Because even with all the evil and terrible things in the world when we stop to admire the little things in life it really makes you stop and realize the beauty amongst the tragedy and even through the sadness and turmoil this world really isn't such a bad place and maybe we are looking in the wrong places for beauty and happiness. We spend all our days looking down at our lives or what's wrong with them and forget to look up and see the little things that make this life worth living and the beauty in each other. Thank you Louis for this small reminder that even in suffering or pain the world really is a beautiful place.... 🙏😔❤

I remember when I was getting my wisdom teeth removed, the oral surgeon gave me a boatload of laughing gas and let me listen to some jazz and by the time this Song started playing, I was so high on laughing gas that everything just felt like bliss and the pain of the surgery was just in the background at that point so I felt some pain, but mostly, I just felt bliss. Anyways, the point I’m getting at is, whenever I hear this song now, it makes me think of getting my wisdom teeth removed while being really high on laughing gas.

Wow! You use laughing gase? That must be a ,,nice ride ,, ( no offence or something,) . I had my wisdom teeths ( and one additional normal teth) removed without any painkilers. That thing hurt for a long time!!! But at some point it stopped.
@nathanielschwartz425
@nathanielschwartz425 3 жыл бұрын
@@racingraptor4758 Yeah, the laughing gas seamed to really help because even when they were removing my teeth I could still feel pain but it didn't register as pain, it was weird. As I recall, my body felt pain but my brain registered it as a tickle or something and I had this song playing in the background and because I was so high on laughing gas I felt like I was floating. It was a really weird feeling.
