He is hilarious and one of my favorite comedians. But as far as original, he definetly bites off George Carlin (RIP) A LOT. Was his biggest influence and does use his shock style comedy. Even started this show with just saying abortion. George Carlin did the same. Many of Louis jokes are Carlins with a twist.. that being said, this dude is a master of the art and im sure George Carlin would be honored 100%

The head-scratching genius of LCK is, in part, that most of his act is completely concocted, even the scenarios he leads you to believe actually happened in his life. I remember he was on Conan once and he told a brilliantly crafted story about being on a plane sitting next to a businessman on his laptop and after he finished the bit he leaned over and admitted under his breath: ‘That never happened, but...’ I know other comedians stretch the truth to varying degrees but I don’t think any other comedian - and I’m talking over the entire span of stand-up history - can ‘make up a true story’ quite like LCK.
