His dad had that special tone,, a mix of Italian and southern accent. Also pitch perfect.

Louis Sr. With Keely is the ticket. I've been enjoying the original stuff on KZbin. I wish Jr luck. His dad is American music history. Keep it alive!

Hey Alex, did you notice that the piano player is the only playing the original parts? My dad raised me up on every Prima Sr. record, and later when I had my own bands in Vegas, I got to meet and open for Sam at the Aladdin! Sam was super kind and sweet, and of course his last few bands were out of this world.

@@flintlong2937 I've seen Sam interviews. Looked like a very cool person. In his prime, he was hot stuff. Good singer, good musician and really put his soul into it. I really enjoy this stuff. I'm only 68 but I got an appreciation for 30s and 40s horn oriented music from my father. Nice to hear your story.

@@alexhenderson8356 Thanks, man. I"m 70, and I got it from my father as well. My dad worshipped Prima. He also like Cab Calloway and Louis Jordan and guys like that who were characters and entertainers. My dad liked the Treniers too. Are you familiar with them?

Yo! Awesome! Louie jr. and his troupe have missed the context of the old man's music ! They were "white people sounding very sexy" which reads not protestant but catholic or Baptist, black. Louis was all about sex God bless him
