omg i’m so glad you’re reacting to louis!! he’s an amazing person and he’s a great artist and especially songwriter, really hope you’ll react to his two albums “walls” and “faith in the future”, the second album is more rockier and was made for the live shows

If you saw the documentary, you will know by now that Louis's sister passed away soon after he released this song (I think like a week later), which is so so sad. And I read a comment ages ago about those final lyrics that I will never forget and made it even sadder for me. The lyrics go "We'll end just like we started, just you and me and no one else.", which comes from the fact he is the oldest, so he expected to be the first to see their mum again, and it would just be the two of them again. And then Fizzy passed away... It's just heartbreaking, because never once did it cross his mind that one of his siblings would die before him, let alone at such a young age...

Jupp for those of us who has followed him over the years it's both the music and the man. He has been a true life saver for many with his lyrics.

Louis songs always have a hint of positivity and hopefulness in them even when the subject is sad. He used to perform this, but doesn't now on his recent tour, and I'm kind of glad he doesn't, despite the celebratory feeling it was heartbreaking to watch him perform. I can't imagine how hard it was for him to do. His new album Faith in the Future is really where he found his sound though, you probably heard a few of the songs throughout the documentary. I'd recommend Silver Tongues, Bigger Than Me or Saturdays for your next listen

Really nice review. How interesting that you watched the documentary first and checking out the music afterwards. Yeah he’s a very likable dude! This is one of my favorite songs by him. I love the sound and lyrics but as a Louis fan and knowing his story you feel it even more. Very sad but also very uplifting and like you said, a celebration of a loved one. Very happy you liked it. He’s got 2 albums and they are very different in sound. You saw the story he told so you’d know it is the sound of the second album Louis favors. But the first album, while the sound wasn’t yet where he wanted it to be, I feel the lyrics are a Touch more personal. There’s also nods to One Direction and the fans. Simple song writings overall but also very relatable and that’s why I love it. Hope you check out more songs. Perhaps the song Walls, The Greatest or Bigger Than Me as it has a music video and Out Of My System? Thanks for this reaction!

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to react to Louis' song, one of my favorites from the new album is Bigger than me, but I also love the song Walls. I loved your final words, I share the same thought, life is a gift every day!

Oh man, this takes me back. When this first came out I was straight up weeping when I first heard it. Like snot and tears, it was gross. The part that gets me most is "we'll go on like we started, just the two of us" cause for the first few years of his life, it really was him and her against the world.

Thank you for your perceptive reaction! His lyrics in everything, even his most fun stuff, are strong and interesting and uplifting. His latest album Faith in the Future is genre-blending and definitely rockier, but the language and emotion and of course his angelic voice stay true.

That's one of a few songs I can't hear all the time, not bc is not an amazing song bc is beautiful, its a musical trip but I can feel his pain. I always remember that he isnt still able to do the same thing for his sister that passed away at 18. He has been through a lot and his positive vibe is as palpable as his pain, it is beautiful music. Listen to Faith In The Future too, no regreats at doing so.
