What’s the criteria for the race committee choosing the number of legs? The first race was 6 and the 2nd race was 8 in virtually the same wind range. I understand they used 8 legs in much stronger wind particularly in the LV Cup and I understand that as the boats are going faster. But in the 2nd race the wind was tapering off and they kept shortening the course yet kept the legs at 8. I wonder why? 🤔

The commentators are not doing well. Peter Lester keeps saying "man, that's really tight" when one boat is 30 seconds ahead, which is a lot at these speeds. "There's nothing in it" is another one of his favourite quotes, when the lead boat is half a leg ahead.
@mrfishyman2 ай бұрын
When he's saying there's nothing in it I'd say he was meaning boat speed, etnz hit most the better breeze and shifts so hard to see true boat performance between the 2

You’ve always got to take into consideration that 30 seconds is also nothing if the lead boat touches down at these speeds
