Love it! The brand Papier makes beautiful a5 slim notebooks, they market them as a5 but when I hold my Papier up to my Leuchtturm it’s about an inch slimmer on the width. I specifically have the “Papier Everyday Notebook”. Love using the paper with my fountain pens, highly recommend checking them out! ❤

Great video!! I agree with you about personal safety concerns, especially when traveling, getting robbed on vacation is painful enough, but getting robbed with an authentic bag is even worse. To me, it makes sense to travel with a fake luxrul bag and not carry any valuables that you would miss. Also, if your bag gets damaged by dust, stains, accidents, whatever it is, it doesn't matter even if it's fake.

I have this one, too and love it! I’m currently using the LV Emily notebook in it but plan on using Moleskine notebooks in it - the large size. So glad you shared about this gorgeous notebook cover 😍 I also have that Mulberry notebook cover - I have the black croc, one too. I’ve been using the black croc one all year to house my Smythson planner - it’s a b6 size but is a leather covered notebook and it fits perfectly. I’m planning on using the same planner for next year and using the new Mulberry cover to house it. They sent me that notebook, too and it fits in my black croc cover, but I didn’t try in the new cover. That rots the cover didn’t work for you. I’m definitely interested in the a6 rings from Mulberry - looks lovely. Thanks for your videos- they are my favorites!

Love the new LV A5 Slim cover! It is so elegant! ❤ Wish they also had it in true A5 or B6. I think Papertess Designs has a new A5 Slim planer for 2025 with tomoe river paper, it’s called the manager planer. But if you don’t want the planer layout for this, she also has the A5 slim lined notebook with tomoe river paper. Or you can bring any softcover A5 size to a local printshop and they can cut it for you to A5 slim size which is 13 cm instead of 14.8 width of an A5 notebook. That’s what I do with my Hobonichi plain notebooks, always cut them to Standard Tn size so I can use fountain pens, and love my TNs with bound books.

I bought the Paper Tess Designs A5 slim (the Manager's Notebook) for 2025, and now I'm wondering....or do we think that's too thick? This LV seems like a tight fit with a lot of notebooks (although the Moleskine is a hard cover, so maybe that's part of the issue).

@@bimmachica I think part of the issue is the width dimensions of the A5 slims and the thickness of the cover of the notebook. If the thickness is similar to that of a soft cover notebook I don’t see you having any issues. If it’s a hard cover or faux leather it may be a tight fit

I have this same cover and have used a moleskine soft cover in it. I also have a Jibun techo biz ready to start in January. My Sterling Ink N1 didn’t fit well in it.

I have the LV Small Ring (Pocket Size). As I don't use it that much nowadays since I have a hobonichi, I repurposed it as a Passport Holder :). I removed the ring and now I love it so much as a passport holder.

I was curious what size the Moleskine you put into the cover was? Hi Lori, It’s a shame that the other cover doesn’t really fit your A5! You can trim your Leuchtturm for your morning pages but that would be another big big project! 😄 This new LV cover looks just so so pretty! Love the black and I want to feel that material in person- it looks so soft and sturdy at the same time 💕

I love my Emily cover but it feels more rubbery than it does leather. I still love it and i use the Moleskine classic soft cover that fits perfectly! Don’t use the hardcover. Hope u enjoy it as much as I do!

I have the Mulberry A5 notebook cover but in black croc. Most of my notebooks have been fine (like Stalogy). I love A5 Slim, Midori sells. Also Jibun Techo.

@@timewithtata8004 not that I can recall but I’ll give it a test this weekend with a few options and get back to you. I used to have an oxblood one too (not croc) but a weird thing was off with the leather a month in so I asked for a return, which they honored.

I personally don't have $400+ for a notebook cover, so thanks for the break from reality. Does LV not sell a notebook that would have fit? To have spent that kinda of money, I wouldn't want to have to trim/cut notebooks to fit (MD Traveler). Please let us know if the spiral ring marks up the leather on the LV. No way my anxiety would allow me to use a makeshift bag for a pen holder. Definitely cant wait to hear how long that holds up.
