Thanks for your helpful video! I just purchased one at US$760 price point without hesitation. I had been using Ralph Lauren 6” x 4“ pouch as my wallet for the past 10 years and I LOVED it. I admire the design of it everytime I open my wallet and pay for goods. When I am in the market to find the exact same one to replace it, I added this to my cart and bought without thinking oh it’s so pricey and maybe not worth it blah blah blah. Because I know I gonna use it everyday and LV will last me 10-15 years. Also, I can afford it because I am good at investing my money too! Rather than purchasing “alternative” brands that don’t make my heart sings and need to replace more often, I would go for the best.

I think you just made my decision for me hahaha. I was looking at this today and going back and forth on if I wanted to spend nearly $800 USD on such a small bag but I like the perspective that if you want just any mini then go with something cheaper but if it's LV that you want then get the brand you desire. Also, I love small bags. That's all I carry and my large bags are collecting dust. I'm a phone in pocket, wallet and lipgloss in bag kind of girl so this bag is prob perfect for me. Thx!!

I totally agree. NEVER SETTLE. If your heart is set on it, just get it. If you settle for something lesser or cheaper, you'll most likely regret and still be dreaming about the one you gave up on. JUST GET IT.

Hello I went today to the LV shop and looked at the mini pouchette. OMG my phone did not fit inside and it was almost double the price of a regular cosmetic pouch. So I decided to get the cosmetic pouch instead bc I was looking for an elegant "necessarie" for daily use.

To add simply to expensive nowadays and I don't get the hype around the chain. Better to save money and buy a bag that would fit all your essentials + phone

Thanks for your video. I am of the same opinion to buy what you really want. It has happened so many times to me already, that I buy the more reasonable alternative, only to not use it and then end up buying what I originally wanted in the first place. I am very financially conscious (hence making the reasonable buy), but you are right that luxury purchases are not supposed to be “reasonable” or “logical”. Buying a luxury product is mostly an emotional experience. Now that I am older and more financially stable, I always go for what I really want to buy. I do the research, weigh pros and cons, and ultimately buy what I really want. If it’s not exactly what I want (color, size, etc.) I will not buy it. I’ve had it happen before that as I am overthinking my purchases, the specific item I want goes out of stock. Anyway, thanks for making your video. It might contribute to me finally pulling the trigger on starting my LV collection :)

I didn’t know they come a long chain, does mini pochett is the same size? If it is a little bit bigger I will get it. I wish it can fit the cell phone. I totally agree with you. Thank you so much for sharing darling💕

The new one with chain is actually very SLIGHTLY bigger than the original size... 6.1 inches VERSUS 5.5 inches long... But i'm not sure it can fit all cellphones i guess it would depend on the size? I am VERY tempted to get it... I love my Mini Pochette and in a slightly bigger size would be perfect as an extra catch all!! have a great weekend dear Irene!! 😘💝💝💝 KIKI

I owned similar one which is the micro pochette (in denim probably from 2021?). It cost around $600 SGD I think. I will probably recommend others (as well as myself) to go for older models sold from consignment shops.

I wish it would hold my cell, I wish it had a nicer interior with even a little pocket, and I wish the chain was removable on both sides. Then I would feel less bad about spending $745. This is someone who has used the mini pochette every day since 2016 when I bought it for I believe $310. I was never precious with it so it needs major repair or replacement at this point. I think it fulfilled my expectations for an LV piece under $450 but at this new price I just have trouble justifying it! Also did the style with the long chain ever actually go live on their site? I don’t see it?

It did go live! It should still be up...? But i agree 100% with you, the price should be lower AND if they designed it with completely removable straps plus the zip didn't stick out so much it would be much more justifiable for the price... But to be fair, no luxury is really "fair" or "good deal" etc, we're paying for the brand, ads, mark up, blah blah haha! I see LV all the time at the airport and based on the airline most of these bags are on, I have to assume a good number of them are not real. Personally, I would be embarrassed to carry an LV in public because of the fact that so many fakes are out there. On top of that, anyone who knows how much these cost will think I am dumb for buying it. I can’t say I’ve never been tempted (how do you think I ended up at this video), but the stigma regarding fakes and the price are the factors that really make me think twice (or 87 times). I even considered getting a bigger bag that isn’t as popular, but I just can’t justify it. I am also not into carrying bags that advertise brands loudly. And then there is the canvas- I know it is supposed to be resilient, but when you look on the pre loved market, so many bags are just so beat to hell. The canvas tears at the d rings. The leather tears. The zippers and chains tarnish. Canvas bags with any kind of corner get cracking. I just can’t spend money on LV, it truly isn’t worth it. When you mention bags like Nolita, at least that comes in leather. Say what you will about coach, but I have 20 year old pieces that I use a lot and they still look nearly new. For the price and the longevity of coach products, you really can’t go wrong; unless you are looking for the brand hype, but just know, if I see you with an LV bog, my automatic instinct is ‘fake’ or ‘more money than sense.’ I know I shouldn’t knock people’s hobbies and they can spend money however they choose, and just because I can’t justify the purchase, that doesn’t mean that others shouldn’t.

I agree! I want the mini pochette in Damier Ebene. I looked at the price and considered a cheaper alternative, but I know it won't be enough, because I'll still want the mini pochette. I think I'm gonna search for a pre loved one, although I prefer brand new. Either way I'm getting it.

I agree 100%! If you know what you want... it's best not to get sidetracked and waste money on "alternatives" that won't actually make you happy or satisfied... I still dont have one in my collection. when i wanted to purchase this (same time when i got my key cles), i felt it was too expensive for what it was hehe thus i only got the key cles. and i think why i stopped myself from buying is i got my Toiletry pouch 26 before it got cancelled and i am soooo love her and get to use so many times...i still love the mini pochette. maybe i will just check from the preloved market also i am wanting the one with sequin version damier ebene. I purchased the Coach Nolita 1st and I def love it over the Mini pochette. The pochette is entirely to much for $800. I’m not carrying my phone in my hand or my pocket. So it’s not worth it in my opinion unless you just want it for the image. Which most people do.

true, I have the nolita 19 and love it. these pochette are ridiculously price and they just stuff it inside the bag as a catch all, not a fan of a catch all with straps 😁

Got mine for $310usd in 2017/18. I bought it BECAUSE it was "affordable" and I felt like shopping. I never use it tbh, wish it fit a phone. The truth to me isn't that it isn't "worth it," just that if you save say about double you could get a full fledged bag from them, even now. In that sense, I don't think it's worth it. There are plenty of their cute slgs that I DON'T have but aren't worth it to me because of that reason. I want to save for an actual bag. But I agree with you--if it's what you really want, better off getting the real thing, or you'll spend even more in the long run lol. great points. 🙂

Omg $310 USD... that is a "steal" compared to the price now, but I agree with your experience... It is ONLY worth it if you actually want it and will use it or have some kind of purpose for it, as it's price tag is not toooooo far off from some smaller bags... I agree 100% re the phone, if only it was maybe 1/2-1 inch longer it would be useful as a bag - I use mine as mostly a catch all! It's a rip off .. you can buy a lot better LV bags that are bigger and in leather.. and other brands are better for even less than this. It's outdated and cheap looking
