Such a pretty vintage bag and the best way to get rid of the musty smell is to use the bag and it will go away as most have said below. You can even leave it outside all day to speed up the process but using it makes it go away.

Charcoal really a great method. If you think your fridge smells, put charcoal in it. Im thinking to buy this pre-loved sologne bag too. Even it's vintage, it does look beautiful. A great size to go shopping with. My hubby likes to pass me his car keys and so on, this bag would fit. Good video thanks

Charcoal bags. Amazon sells them in packages. You can recharge them by letting them sit in the sun. A lot of people use them in their cat litter rooms, basement and anywhere or thing that has an odour. Love this bag and am thinking of getting it too.

You can purchase those charcoal bags at Walmart. They are in housewares department… I believe in the section with laundry baskets etc

@@lynneb620 I’ll have to check our Walmart here. Sometimes Canada Walmart don’t carry everything in store. Hopefully our Province Wide Lockdown will be finally lifted and we can start purchasing stuff other then essentials. We can order it online, but I like feeling and touching everything before purchasing. LOL!!!

I bought a multicolor version of this bag preloved for $400 from Japan. I love it, but the smell was overwhelming. I cleaned, lysol spayed, and hung outside. I then put perfume samples from magazines inside, and now it smells delightful ☺.

The Lysol didn’t damage the canvas? I didn’t try lysol yet, i just used baking soda, baby wipes to clean it and charcoal to absorb the odor

I do still like this bag, but it still has a strong smell though. I like it because I can put all my essentials in it plus I don’t worry with the vachetta because it’s already developed a nice patina. I hope you can find one from the preloved market.

@@heyTracyK I know you have tried putting baking soda with not luck, but I had purchased a bag that had a strong perfume smell and all I did was, I left the baking soda (in a ziplock bag open) in the bag and all the pockets for months before using it. And it did work for me. If you only leave it for short period of time, the smell won’t go away. Try putting dryer sheets and baking soda and don’t use the bag for months. It may help remove the odor. Hope that helps!

I bought charcoal packs inside the bag, the smell is not as strong as before but it’s still there, I’ll try doing the baking soda again 🥰☺️

No I didn’t. My cousin trusted the seller so I did not. I have purchased from her before and got it authenticated. If I have some doubts, I do get it authenticated.

Thats so weird, mine has a strange musty smell too even tbough its immaculate and NOTHING has worked to get the smell out yet

yes I tried everything that I can buy from amazon and none of them worked, I hate part with her coz its the same pristine condition as yours..and yes they said had to keep using it for the smell to go away
