So glad I stumbled on your video! I'm super torn on getting the new speedy b 25 DE or to get one pre-loved because of the matte finish leather on the new DE. If I look at your video and that it's been 3yrs, my guess is that you got the newer version of the DE which is the matte finish leather on the handles & strap. I read on lots of forums that the matte leather can get water marks from rain, and a LV SA told me to be mindful when using hand lotion before touching the handles/strap. This is definitely not the case with the older shiny DE leather. How does the matte finish holding up on your speedy b nowadays? Is it easy to get some water marks (rain) on the matte handle? I know that rain isn't an issue with the original shiny leather. Curious to know how the matte leather performs! :) Thanks so much!!

Yes! Mine is the matte leather. I did get some finger marks after touching my bag straps with sunscreen on my hands (not sure why I did that!!) but was able to wipe it clean and the marks are gone. Otherwise, I haven’t seen water marks or anything! I haven’t used it during a downpour though. It seems pretty durable overall, but I am still careful!

I used an alcohol free wet wipe! Thankfully it worked!!

Oh yeah, it’s definitely WAY more water resistant to stains than the untreated vachetta. I spilled water on the end of my mini pochette and it’s stained forever now! Makes me very glad I didn’t get the original monogram speedy for sure! The leather speedy is also super pretty but the price jump is pretty crazy. Let me know what you end up getting!! So excited for you!
