I just purchased the Speedy B 35 in the monogram print and was having buyers remorse because of the size but after seeing your video I am SOLD. I found it in Connecticut and it was made in France (yippee). I love all your tips! You are awesome!

Thank you for sharing this video with us. It is a great idea to put the dust bag inside your bag. I'm glad you find the bag with the zipper with no gap, and to be made in France. I do own the Speedy B in 40 Monogram, and it's made in France, and 40 is the perfect size for me. I did buy it last year, and I love it. :)

ooh! that's such a great idea to keep the dust bag in a plastic bag inside the purse! i am going to start doing that! :) I have (and am currently using) the speedy 35 in DE. i love the size 35, i live in new england so i'm glad i can fit in a scarf, gloves and a light jacket or sweater.

Thanks to your prior video, I noticed the same gap at the end of the zipper. It prevented me from buying this bag until 2014. My SA was able to find one without the gap and it was made in the USA. I got the Speedy 30 and love it.

I noticed a gap and could see the lining when I bought the Totally MM in Damier Ebene...and it was a made in USA bag. Nonetheless, I ended up returning it since it was so bothersome, even though I did an unboxing video sharing the bag. Really wanna get a made in France Speedy B 30 in Damier Ebene, but have had the same struggle finding one here in Hawaii. =]

They do get a lot of Asian buyers who prefer the MIF, so it is possible that you will be able to find a MIF, if they have the stock. It is also less expensive in Hawaii. Price is lower and tax is lower in Hawaii. Good luck!

You'll notice that the Asian luxury market demands nothing less then perfection and it's very hard to gain that market back if it's been loss due to quality issues, I just did a research project on this and was amazed with all the information I found!

I remember that video. I currently own a speedy 35 in DE made in the USA and I will tell you that it too has the gap at the end. Now that being said, it does bother me... But this was my first LV purchase and I just can't let go of the bag or trade it for sentimental reasons. Is it silly or foolish to except "lower quality"? Probably. But other then that little defect I LOVE my bag, so she will stay in my collection. I bought her in Michigan, USA late 2013. Just thought I'd share in case anyone was curious!

Another great video BJ! Which btw answered my questions to you about which Speedys you have. And of course I should have remembered, because I have always loved to watch your videos! And we have the exact same Speedys too, except you have by now added the 25 in DE. And to repeat myself, I really want to get a 25 in DE myself to use it as a crossbody bag. But I would also Love a DA Speedy. But maybe not in the 25? It would be lovely to use in the summer and especially on vacation because azur is such a light and summery pattern. But DE will always be a wiser choice for me living in a colder climate. What I am thinking right now is my number one "Whant" would be a Speedy B DE in 25, and then either a regular Speedy 30 in azur (to avoid rubbing it against your jeans) OR a Speedy B 30 in mon mono? If I ask you which one of the two last mentioned you would prefer, which one would it be? I'm thinking it would be a mon mono in the 30, or? I would love if you would share your thoughts on that! Hi Anne, so good to hear from you! I have a speedy 30 Mon Mono on the list, and with the ever increasing prices, that could soon become out of reach in terms of price here in the US. The Mon Mono line had a HUGE increase in Nov. The Speedy B 25 is a small bag, but it works for me. I think you would prefer the 30 to the 25. Hope all is well with you and wishing you a great week.

I just think the 25 is incredibly cute! We'll see what I do. I think I will go to the store and try them all on. I'm also thinking of maybe getting a mon mono 40 b or a Keepall 45 in DE or DG to use as a carry on, even though I have two NF's in GM that work fine (DE for winter and Ikat RI for summer), but it would be nice to have a bag with a zipper. Ugh I’m so torn between the neverfull gm DE and the speedy b 35 DE. I travel a lot so I’m wanting something I can put under the plane seat without worrying about contents spilling everywhere. I did hear a solution to this is to buy the neverfull and carry the dust bag and put the bag inside the dust bag before placing it under the seat. Ugh. Help!! Please.

+1Koolemom It just depends on what width and what length you like to wear. I have ordered the 45" and the 55" and they both worked for me. the 45" can sit higher when worn as a cross body. I showed that in one of my videos. :)

Hi great video. I have the same bag and also had it for 2 years. Something that's bothering and concerning me is , if I pull the zipper and wear as cross body, do you ever fear that the zipper part could "detach" as bag slouches around your body whenever you don't carry that much in it? I heard that the canvas of "neu" speedy B is thinner than the old ones or thinner than the classic speedy. Is that true? Actually I plan to buy a classic speedy 30 (or 35) in DA or a speedy B 30 in Mono, just love the style .... But because of the canvas quality ... I can not decide....

+E mi I feel that the canvas has gotten thinner. The speedy that I have all have thicker canvas. The newer speedy seem to be more flimsy. I sold my DA speedy because it was just too thin for me. I have also noticed that the current Speedy have issues with wrinkling underneath the handles and this seems to be across France and MIU. SAD!

Is the zipper gap only on the Damier Ebene Speedy 35 - made in USA bags? Did you have a similar problem with the Monogram Speedy 35?

It is not on my Mono Speedy. In fact, that is how I noticed it. When I put the bags side by side for the comparison video, it was very clear that the mono did not have that issue and the DE did. When I talked to the SA about it, the reply was - "they are all like that". I pointed out that my Mono Speedy B was not like that and my DE Speedy 30 did not have that issue. The SA said there was no difference between US and MIF bags. I told him all the newly released Speedy B DE MIF bags that I had seen did not have the gap. The response was that US and France have different suppliers of parts so the zippers might not be the same. But you just said there was no difference. Hence, the quest for a MIF bag for me.

E Patterson I've never had either, and just now interested in getting one, but I'm not sure which is which, honestly... ohhhh wait, she is showing one in the monogram... and the other, (the 1st she showed) anyway I'm not really sure which is which... anyway, I heard many other people explain why they gold is different, one matte and one not, it was actually done that way on purpose.. they explain why in the video.... I don't think that the seam on the outside, being tucked is a defect...since both sides are like that... seems like it was done that way on purpose.. I may be wrong but that's my thoughts... As far as the whole zipper thing, I definitely agree that, that was a defect...and yes, as much as they cost they should be made the best way possible....I feel that ALL of them should be made correctly.. It should NOT matter where it was made.... they should all be made top quality!!! I'm sure the price doesn't change or go down when the quality of how it's made goes down.... SO..... they definitely need to get that fixed/dine right!!

The different prints... Which is which?? She showed two in this video... I assume the 2nd one (that she showed, stored and stuffed) was the monogram one?? Is it still called the Speedy B or just the Speedy?? what's the difference between the Speedy and Speedy B?? Also, I seen a comment about the canvas being thinner on some of the speedy bags versus other speedy bags. So I am trying to figure out the best one. Thanks!!!
