Accidents do happen unfortunately, but any object isn't of greater value than the person you are with. Your girlfriend is your support and companion and she deserves total attention when there is an issue a guitar or camera or anything else is replaceble and has less importance than a person whom you share your life at the moment. A an has to stand strong and willing to be like a rock towards the person he loves.

I cycled round Corfu and Greece including Nafplio, Leondian, Kosma, Sparta plus Athens-Nafplion via Corinth and Mycenae. We did it on secondhand Road bikes from Liverpool Street Market, ordinary wheels (which needed straightening once in Leonidian) and standard 1970s 27" x 11/4" tyres. The only flats I can remember were collecting the bikes off the train in Athens from London. Every tyre was flat! But just needed pumping up no punctures! Don't OVER THINK it just DO IT!

I think now is a good juncture to think about extra protection for your guitar, wrap it in bubble-wrap? Be careful. I trust you have a first aid kit with you for such occurrences? I hope you leg repairs quickly. I find so many people are very helpful and generous from my journeys, only in the UK so far. Greece is on my list of places to go, through Croatia and Bosnia etc. Georgia is on my list too for future treks.
@louisaandtobi3 жыл бұрын
That would probably be too much of a hassle to always wrap the guitars, so far they are fine and hopefully stay that way. 🙏🏼 Yea, we have a first aid kit, this was the first time we had to use it. Louisa’s leg is fine now. 😊 It’s just amazing how people treat you when they see you are traveling by bike! We’ve never experienced such hospitality before. What a coincidênce. In 2019 I entered Greece thro the same border from Albania and went also to Thessaloniki along maybe the same route. So nice this route. I've started watching your videos recently and was wondering about your wild camping, especially in semi-open buildings.Do you ask permission before camping in places or do you just take a chance, and if so do you get moved on very often?
@louisaandtobi2 жыл бұрын
It really depends. If there’s someone around to ask, we usually ask, if not, and it looks fairly abandoned, we just camp there. We’ve never had a problem. The only time we’ve ever been interrupted while camping was in a town park in Texas when the police showed up. 😅

Looks like Greece is pretty good to avoid busy car traffic. What are the best countries if you want to avoid busy roads?
@louisaandtobi2 жыл бұрын
It’s hard to really say it generally about a whole country. Some of the best regions have been northern Greece, inland in Croatia (not the coast), parts of Slovenia and Austria. In the US the mid-west had some pretty empty areas. Baja California is also mostly pretty empty.

31:56Wish you had mentioned the duration of repairing the tyre here. How long did it take? These are interesting tidbits which I always look forward to in vlogs. You can include the duration of all these happenings in the video by on screen texts (maybe somewhere in the corner or middle of the screen). For example, if it took you 11 minutes to fix tyre number 2 then on the screen you can write _REPAIR TIME : 11 MINUTES_ 🙂

So if you look at it like that, it’s not a lot!
