George is lucky that he can take a day off (or a few hours) on a Monday to do personal business. Most people wouldn't be able to get the time off. As for lunch with Mama, he can postpone it until Tuesday. If she balks you can tell her it's either Tuesday or we wait a whole month. She'll take the Tuesday.
