You've already learned a valuable lesson. Practice and patience are two very important bushcraft rules. Even small, seemingly simple tasks take time to complete and master. You are blessed to have BW man and Becky to learn from. Keep up the good work. God Bless.

Hello Louise and family! YAY! Good job with that fire...as you had said, PATIENCE is key...as we start WE ARE ALL at the same place...known as "the Beginning." For 'most' of my failures I have learned something...the others, my own stubborness prevented my progress...try to remember to not get in your own way and have forgiveness and patience. Sending love from the Great Smoky Mountains ~~^^^*^^~

Enjoyed the video. Great looking camp y'all have built. Nice job on your first attempt at F&S. My favorite method of lighting a fire. Try holding the nest in front of you, rather than leaning over it. Tilt your head back slightly while blowing up into the nest so the smoke rises above and doesn't get in your eyes. Don't be afraid to blow more air, faster as it really starts to glow and smoke. Looking forward to more videos!
@LouisesAdventures6 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much :) I really enjoy this method too, I took to it straight away. Thanks for the advice I will do that next time.

The only tips I would have would be to flip the birds nest over when it catches flame and when you put in the char cloth, wrap the nest around it a little. Great first attempt though Louise!

I like the idea of a hammock but have never been able to sleep in one because I sleep on my stomach. Be careful of your hair when blowing on the fire. A good way to get a bit of distance between your face and the bird's nest is with a bit of tubing; a broken bit of radio aerial or length of bamboo work.
@LouisesAdventures6 жыл бұрын
Yes I do too Duck, but still enjoy sleeping in one! I will, a lot of people have said that about the hair. Thanks

Yes glad to see you got a big hammock. Big enough for 2 hehe. Be easy for me to listen to you talk then while laying in it. I do enjoy all you giys vids, But haven't caught your moms yet. Now like was saying before Buster with a cam and showing his perspective on different parts of your trips might go over well. Bushwacker man could be Buster's voice. I may be wrong but you English ladies seem a bit more feminine than American girls. Doesn't take away from your strength. Just makes it a compliment to a mans. You do look like your a Bear in the morning you just get up. Lol. Anyways your cute love your vids and your family. Good Job!
