I don't know if anyone's suggested this, but if you get out on the interstate, you can pull into a truck stop and sign up for the showers inside. I think some of them also have laundry facilities as well. As a suggestion, you can get a net style tailgate that would allow you to store things in the bed next to the camper, and not worry about them falling out. Good video!

I like the net tailgate idea! My plan is to sew up some covers once I have access to my sewing machine again (soon!) For now we do store some items in there but the catch is that we have to tie them down every time.

Oh my goodness! How awesome to see a noti from bb this afternoon. You guys are great! Be careful with raccoons, especially when they walk on their tippie toes like that one was doing. Sometimes that means they could be rabid. Take care you two and I can’t wait for the next one. 🙂

😬 That's the last thing we need in the camper 😂 We actually heard that raccoon climb up into the bed of the truck later that night. It was clawing at our little side door so we had to scare it off.

Glad to see you on the road. Our project has stalled... :( If you guys are going full time and off the beaten path, I would highly suggest a travel berkey. Another option might be one of the life-straw gravity bags. Either will help with getting drinkable water in remote areas. Even "potable" water in some locations is very gross!

Beware of the sneaky sneaky racoons!!! All my experiences with racoons has been associated with campgrounds where there is lots of trash at the dumpsters and/or people leaving food out which makes it easy for them to get people food. My mother had one figure out how to undo the zippper to the tent and climb inside. She woke up to it searching the tent and was able to quietly shoo it away without waking up the dog. Imagine how that could have played out! Since then we've leaned to keep the zipper pulls up at the top of the tent doors as well as putting all the food in the car when we're done with it. When I see them now I'm less inclined to return to those campgrounds as they are usually a sign of people making bad decisions.

😂 That was a close call! I tend to agree about raccoons and campgrounds. Nearly all of my problem raccoon encounters have been in areas where food is left out or where trash is accessible too. Same with mice.
