Kids in the 80s grew up with rifles with 20/30 round magazines. No violence. Plenty of kids play with guns and explosives and never hurt people with them. The only reason those platforms wasn't more widespread was the armalite patent making the good stuff appear later than it would've naturally. Kids stop crimes when armed. Stop scapegoating.

Both of those situations are utterly awful, and both of those suspects belong in jail or mentally committed. It should be noted that while we clearly see that the shooter in the second part of this video is Black, the teen shooter in the first part is White. That can be seen on the KPLC (Louisiana) website that shows the fuller video of the Mary Magdelene incident. I'm not sure why CBS didn't just show the fuller video of the Mary Magdelene incident, which shows a police officer putting the White teen shooting suspect in the police car. When I first watched this CBS video, I thought that the second shooter was responsible for both incidents. Regardless, two truly awful incidents. So grateful that no one was killed or injured. 🙏

Once you're considered insane, they can keep you until you're all better, which can be for as long as they want. THEN you'll stand trial. It's faster to do your time and get out. That's how we have so many career criminals now. The mental hospital isn't the revolving door, jail is. And harsher punishments only make people run harder, makes them more desperate to avoid getting caught, and makes it harder to rehabilitate them. We need to evaluate these people so we can get to the root of their behavioral problems once and for all. If you really want these crimes to stop, that's the way.

He should not have any access to take that gun himself and walk around with it. Too many of these so called parents & guardians have failed these children. My thinking too. It’s a packed church according to the report, but they could have tried to pull some of the kids to them, or even try to talk the shooter down enough to distract him which buys time. After all they are people who minister to souls. Instead they hide behind the altar. I will add a caveat - none of us were there, and don’t have the whole understanding of the situation, but from what is shown that was what I was thinking.
