Can you do a video of all the tackle you use for redfish?
@JoeandZachSurvival10 жыл бұрын
I left my saltwater tackle box down at Melissas because there is no need for it up here at all. I will have to do one next time I am down there. Its simple though. I go to walmart and I buy the 18 to 30 inch (24 is my favorite but they all work) leader thing they have, I think its actually called a Redfish Rig but they have others that are close to the same that work just as good. A one ounce weight is ok and works fine IF its not windy and for shore fishing you need to get that bait out there so a 2 ounce is even better, some people like using 4 ounce but you better have a nice strong rod for that. I use a #3 hook but some people prefer them bigger, I like the #3 red ones from walmart. I get that set up on my rod and 20 pound test and then we would buy fresh shrimp off the side of the road in LaPlace. Some people claim you need to use live shrimp but if you watched all my redfish videos I caught plenty of fish and was using dead shrimp. I even bought some an Win Dixie the one day when the shrimp man wasnt there. Throw that out as far as you can and kick back and wait. I hope that helps. Joe.

JoeandZachSurvival circle hooks would increase your catch rate and damage the fish less if you're looking to release it, they don't gut hook fish. they also have the added benefit of hooking the fish without needing to touch the rod at all,
