Louisiana life on the off grid houseboat, getting ready for hurricane Francine. Securing and prepping everything for an upcoming hurricane. Fishing and relaxing. Shrimp stew, hamburgers, fried catfish with french fries. And a few other cajun dishes. Dee catches a leather back turtle, that gives somewhat of a fight. Dee cooks Lost bread for breakfast, you would have to watch the video to find out just what is Lost Bread.

What parish are y’all in? It hit us in Thibodaux late in the afternoon. She blew pretty hard coming in but left us with light winds. She left us a mess with a broken fence & downed trees in the neighborhood. No power, internet, or cell service for a couple days. It was the highest we have ever seen the water rise. Thank god it didn’t flood the house. We’re on pillars so if we flood everyone floods. All is well now.

@BoondockingCajunstyle
@BoondockingCajunstyle 3 күн бұрын
@mrk2163 I did consider putting a motor on it. Turn out to be more convenient to strap my boat to the back of it and push. I do have a rudder in the front to guide the direction. Don't have to worry about the extra weight and how to get fuel and other issues that may come. It's nice to be able to push to a location disconnect and still enjoy a smaller boat to run around in.
