Those coins with the hole in them , from what I have been told, were done that way so that they could be sewn into your clothing to keep from losing them

Love your videos. How can one get on a field ? Do I try & find property owner or is that just an empty field I can find on the outskirts town?
@LaRelicHunter4 жыл бұрын
Research first find owner and farmers and get permission always. I have spent last 20-25 years researching and getting permissions. Thanks David

I bet you like your Minelab Equinox 800. How much does one of those cost? Right now I'm still using the AT Pro. Must have been a Brinks truck where you are detecting.

Lol The 800 runs about $800

A huge congrats on the many, many silvers you found!! Apparently those guys had holes in their pockets 😂 which turned out a very good thing for you 😀 You put that rivet in the trash category yet I see so many detectorists pull those and are very happy to get them, as they are relics from the civil war as well 👍 My wishes for You in 2020 is to have a year of easy awesome targets and minimal trash targets 🎉

Kaye's Diggin It Yes unfortunately I had to cut a lot of actual Civil war finds like bullets old clay marbles and many style buckles. This video was much longer than my normal video but I wanted to take a min at the end to show up and coming Relic hunters it’s not treasure every time you dig a hole. In making one cool video I will easily dig a few hundred holes that sound great that end up being trash. I know rivets can be old but I have never collected them. They go in the brass scrap bucket.

@@LaRelicHunter I'm glad you did that too. The viewers and newbies need to understand what it's really like to be out hunting. That was really good info 👍

Hope yall are doing good and staying healthy just want to let you know I love your videos ,and I love how you present your content! I have a suggestion for you the amount of half dimes you are finding suggest the there was a bag or container lost or hidden in that field,. If you were to get yourself a GPS and mark where you find each half dime on it and overlay the location of each one you find it may lead you to the location of the main hoard..

Why are you so rough on silver? It scratches so easy. Great finds though.
@LaRelicHunter4 жыл бұрын
Chris Mitchell hey Chris I get this a lot. I don’t sell coins and do not grade my dug Silver it goes in a mason jar. I know coin shooter are super careful with silver. Guess I never plan on selling anything it really does not matter to me. Also depends on soil. If sandy soil I would not rub the coin and rinse with water. No matter what the conditions a dug coin will grade dug and 99% are scraped and scratched. But I will take your advice and be more careful to set a better example. Thanks for feed back.

Excellent video...dang that's a lot of silvers, congrats, love these small coins. I think your eagle cuff is 1830's. That President token is killer find. We find them in Va. Ever so often. You are diffently in a honey hole for sure. Love that soil. Tks for posting, love your finds
