Where did you get the led? And how did you connected the wire + & - to the led?
@bbruno197310 ай бұрын
thanks for the video!!! Man we went round and round trying to get this stupid thing off. So headed to Harbor Freight this morning. Picked up a set of cheap pullers. Grabbed the 6". It worked ok but kept slipping. I put grooves in the fingers. Game changer. Put a lip on each finger to grab and that made all the difference.

How is it running after doing the fix? Kind of made me nervous to throw a new cam in there when the old cam lobe is all ate up. Thinking all that ground up material from the cam lobe was likely to have worked it’s way into the cam bearings somewhat. Son’s truck, ex wife’s money…. Decided to just get a new reman motor.
@LaRelicHunter Жыл бұрын
The truck now has 16k more miles since new cam. When I tore it down I inspected the cylinders and still had nice cross hatching and no lips. I have ran mobile 1 synthetic since day one. I changed out the oil pump and changed and flushed the oil 3 times after work. It’s running better and sounds better than when it was new. I guess I caught it before any damage. 3k total including the delete and tune.

I'm in Butte Larose, St. Martin Parish. I'm 51 and just ordered my first detector, a Nokta Makro Simplex. I have some places in mind and hope to get permission. Until then, I'll be learning this new hobby and detector. Are there clubs here? I moved here from Denham Springs after the flood. We got hammered.

Thanks. I used that puller but my 1 hook kept slipping. Instead I took each jaw off. put the jaw in the halfmoon holes sideways and rotated 90degrees so it was straight. once all claws were in i reassembled the puller in place and to the furthest holes in the claw, so I could fit my puller in between the claws. puller bolt was then too short so just put a deep socket on the crankshaft side to give the bolt more reach. came off like butter.

I have the same color car and noticed only half my 3rd light works, which is annoying me now that I know that. This is my 2nd light, original totally died so got the whole license plate holder n all off eBay for $50 few years back. Also the whole plate holder n all is black which really offsets the rear and looks great! But now I know how to take the light apart without breaking everything.

Seven years later and your post is still saving people money, can't beat that. Thank you. The nearest Autozone is about an hour me, so I bought the led strips at WalMart. Probably about an inch short on each side, but didn't make a difference, nice n bright. Had to make a couple of tweaks, but nothing major.

@LaRelicHunter2 жыл бұрын
@@SuperBigdaddyjohn nope nothing special just an LED strip light. You can use white lights since the lens is red or use red for that bright red look. Hardest part is separating the light housing. Take your time with it. A heat gun and patients.

There is a really big mound in Lafitte. People built a grave yard around it and someone put a few graves on the top of it. There is a big live oak growing on it , it has to be pretty old. Kinda sucks that a graveyard was put around it.

I will Metal Detect for hours just if there’s a possibility that there’s a confederate bullet because all I’ve gotten is dropped three wranglers but there’s nothing more beautiful than that smooth confederate bullet. CAUTION! I learned the hard way that doing this with a nylon retainer on the intermediate oil pump drive shaft can break the retainer and have the intermediate shaft come out with the priming tool.
