Everyone who keeps saying “we should be using shotguns because it’s cheaper” or “why are y’all using ARs for some little nutrias, some tough guys” or whatever…. Do y’all not listen😂? It was supposed to be a HOG hunt. It turned into a nutria hunt after we didn’t see any hogs, so obviously we have the guns we were supposed to be shooting hogs with. Hilarious to trick someone to eat them to rid the "mind" prejudice! Done this with deer on my oldest daughter. She said she would NEVER eat deer. She loves beef steak. Made up deer steak with gravy. She loved it and ate her fill before I told her it was deer! She could have kicked me for telling her it was beef! Now she has no problem with deer meat! LOL!

The thing about nutria hunting I like is the fact that you are also aiding in the fight against climate change, because the wetlands has so many plants+the water's heat absorbtion. Also, massive respect for making sure the nutria are quickly killed and suffer very little.

I'm from the nutria native land in south america. These are very easy going animals here, if you feed the male once with red corn, it will bring the entire family next time (they are monogamous creatures, and will bring their descendants to eat too!). If you get proper protection to hunter animals, they take care of the nutria populations without much need of humans doing this, as the nutria is a favourite food for them. We have nocturnal hunters like foxes and small pumas here. Regarding the guns, although .22LR small calibers and shotguns are provided for civilian use in the country, military grade rifles as the AR types are considered licensed weaponry to carry, and its 5.56mm ammo is extremely expensive too (as much as a minumun wage for 4 x50 boxes). So we resort to the easy going way to catch them up, as pokemons. You can set traps too. But there over the states, you shoot the nutrias with high caliber rifles. WTH!
@fallingtidetv Жыл бұрын
Yeah well like I mentioned in the video, our intentions were to shoot Hogs, not Nutrias so we had our hog guns. The only predators we have here are Alligators and Coyotes and they aren’t doing a good enough job.
