The rows looks great and it was good to understand the adjustments you were making to the angles and speed to get a good result. Merry Christmas!

Thank you GTB! It works like a completely different tool on the Massey compared to the TYM. So, everything I learned using the TYM had nothing to do with running it on the Massey. LOL Had to start all over again. Have a Merry Christmas with your family!! See ya in the next one!

I think you got it figured out, John. Walking the dog does a good job! The straight rows look good!

I don't know about that but I'm trying. LOL Thank you Rick! It works so different from using it on the TYM to using it on the Massey. I think a lot of it is speed, but I like the rows better with the Massey. Have a Merry Christmas with the family!! See ya in the next one!

I like your hipper / hiller better than mine. Speed is everything! Got to find what works for you and your soil conditions. It’s not a one method fits all sort of task. Merry Christmas my friend.

I'll add another comment kind of unrelated to this video, but we recently bought a BY85 backhoe for the TYM 574. I'll be hitting your backhoe vids for tips and tricks since I have limited backhoe experience and you appear to be a pro at running them. Take care, hoping all is well, God Bless, and anxiously awaiting more vids. David & Cari Beth

Thank you David & Cari Beth for the comment! Congrats!! On the new backhoe! I'm no pro on a backhoe but I thank you for the compliment. I do love working them. lol. And I think you will as well. I hoping to get my computer issues resolved soon so I can get back to watching videos and posting again. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!

Thank you Robert! I'm still learning how to set it up, but it does work really well. So much so I think we are going to do a much bigger garden next year or two about the same size. Hope you have a Merry Christmas with your family! See ya in the next one!

Thank you hiddenacresoutdoors! I have used hey before and it works pretty good and cheap, but I might try weed cloth and see how that works out. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and your family! See ya in the next one!

Cool video John.. Merry Christmas buddy! How many hrs on your Massey now? I just rolled 700 on mine with zero issues.

Thank you Seth! Merry Christmas to you and your family as well!! Just over 400 hrs. I don't work it as much now with the TYM. I kinda split the work loads between them. So, the Massey can get some well needed rest. lol You been busy with yours. I'm glad it's been good to you! See ya in the next one!

Hey, I have a question for you. First of all, I'm just an urban guy in a rural area with a Massey toy exactly like yours. What would your suggestion be to help carve out a foot path on my property. I pretty much want to easily dig up a three footwide path and then put crush gravel in tamp it down. But what's the easiest way to carve it out?
@LouisianaTractorworks
@LouisianaTractorworks 10 ай бұрын
Thank you AMVayanefan! With out knowing what you have for ground,. There is 3 ways I can think of to carve out a path. (1) Box blade if you have one, but that means a four foot wide path because the size of the B.B. (2) Frontend Loader with tooth bar, but again a four foot wide path because that's the size of your FEL bucket. (3) Backhoe, with that you can make it as narrow as you want but it will take practice to get your grade flat & level like you want. I don't know if any of this will be helpful to you. Maybe some of the other guys can chime in on this with more info for you. Hope you have a Merry Christmas with your family! See ya in the next one! P.s If you have more questions don't hesitate to ask, I will do all I can to help!!

i still think you need a small amount of weight put on the tool would not take much just enough to tame down the hopping the tool is doing with the said weight i am thinking of you could slow down both engine and ground speed both
@LouisianaTractorworks
@LouisianaTractorworks 10 ай бұрын
Thank you Matt! I'm with you on that. I think I well get some angle and build a cinder block rack for it. I agree 100% that I probably could slow both down a good bit, and it would do a lot better at the start of the rows. Hope you have a Merry Christmas with your family! See ya in the next one!
