Perfect video. My wife and I installed our Louisville pull-down attic stairs today with no issues. One word of advice: make sure the two temporary straps at the header are taut when secured into the joists so that the header end of the frame won’t sag any when its temporary board is removed. We removed the old ladder a day or so ago to break up the job.

This is the same ladder as the Featherlite AF2240MG-R5C, as it’s sold at Home Depot Canada. Thanks for the explainer: the manual is a little confusing for first time installers.

Just bought one of these, seems well built. Miles above my Death Trap of a an Attic Ladder that came with this house (Built in the 50's). The house itself is in amazing shape but this Attic Ladder lol I don't know whatever happened to it or why it's so worn out but it needs an upgrade. Hopefully this goes good 🤞

I used baseboard trim with typical 45-degree cuts at the ends. No issues.
