I've seen it once, as a referee ! The fencer looked just as surprised as I was x)

Like Sid I was also surprised that the hit at 9:55 was not a card. That one seemed both egregious and relevant to the action.

i don’t think he was referring to the hit i think that he meant that jeidus was violating the rule where you cannot duck your head and reveal the back of your head
@Emfuser7 ай бұрын
There is no such rule but that is a popular misconception. Nowhere in the rules will you find any wording regarding exposing or revealing the back of your head. What refs are looking for in instances like this is parries with the mask, using the mask to cover or block valid target, or other similar substitutions of non-valid target to cover or block valid target. Ref USA fencing or FIE rules t.27.2 for turning the BACK or t.29.2 for covering or substituting target.

I dunno, a clean parry-repost isn't necessarily anti-climatic, but the best part is really early on when Kumbla has his weapon behind his head and chases Jeidus down the strip.

It wasn't a parry, it was a remise: Jeidus parried the first counterattack and Sid hit him with a remise

@@CyrusofChaos Ah, I see that now. Didn't catch it the first time. For sure: remise is a bit of a let down.... Love your content!

By 5:20, the attack had shifted 。the verdict was two points wrong.
