I had a 1 lb flank steak so I cut the marinade in half and let it sit in the fridge for 2 hours. I used a generous amount of garlic powder and bottled crushed ginger b/c I didn't have fresh. Two minutes on each side in a smoking hot cast iron skillet, then straight into a 400F oven for 4 minutes. Let it rest for 6 minutes before slicing. It was perfectly cooked mid-well pink inside. YUM! Thank you for posting! New sub.

Hello Lenny! I'm marinating two forkful steaks with your recipe! The only ingredients I'm not using is honey, I don't really like sweet beef, but the rest is the same! Thanks ❤

I made a mistake. I put the entire bag full of marinade in the skillet. Don't do this. The meat tasted only of oil and soy sauce. Bad. Just take the steak out of the bag and maybe let it sit on a cutting board and drain a bit while you retrieve the onions from the bag. Then put only the steak and onions in the skillet. I think it will taste better this way.

Marinate will marinade the meat for too much and becouse of high soy sauce amount in this recipe meat will be too salty. This is why you do a quick one. 👍👍👍

@victorbuster1 is totally fine. But i do like to trim some extra fat from meat. But once again, you can leave it on if you want to. It is the same as when you are making a chicken soup. Some cooks remove skin, and some leave it on.
