Mom is 75 yrs old . I visit her several times a week and the first thing she will ask is "where is Lou?" She LOVES Lou Rawls! I let her listen to his songs thru my headphones so she can hear all the instruments. The smile on her face is worth more than gold. She doesnt talk much anymore but listening to Lou has her singing and smiling. She has the headphones on right now.❤

I can remember being 12yrs old riding my bike with my best friend, out in the sunshine. I had a little red round radio bk in the 70's. I kept in the basket i had attached to front of my bike. I remember this song coming on and the two of us just singing, laughing and enjoying the innocence of being young and free. What great times the 70's were.

Stokley in my opinion is like an evolution of Stevie Wonder. All of the songs from Mint Condition and his Introducing Stokley albums are 9's and 10's.

It's funny cause I used to listen to this album with my mom on Sunday afternoons when she would be cleaning the house. We would dance and sing these songs. Now I am 34 years old and still sing and dance to these wonderful masterpieces. Most people of my background have no idea or appreciation for music of this sort and I feel sorry for them. This song oddly hit me back in 1977 when I signed up for the US Air Force as a 20 year old man and was off to bootcamp in San Antonio in June of that year. This song kept playing in my mind while on my way to the airport from San Francisco to San Antonio and look forward to an exciting life for me in bootcamp.

I started working in a record shop after I left school in 1965. I ordered an album for a customer and must have got the number wrong! She the order came it was Lou Rawls live! I ended up buying the album for myself as I fell in love with that voice. I was lucky enough to see him live a couple of years later.

Dedicated to my Mama for her *81st* birthday today ( Thursday, 18 November) which almost didn't happen last year, this could've been my first birthday of hers without her, due to Co-Vid (Pneumonia & Kidney Failure) but by the sweet, divine grace of God and his angels, he reserved her for my son and I. "Thanks Be To God and Praise To Thee, O' Christ!!!"
