I've been playing MK in tournaments and stuff, I'm pretty high in ranked and played against some of the best players like ForeverKing in tournaments so it's not like I'm bad or anything. The game meta system is just stupid. Assist ambush move that make everything safe and plus on block with some kameo like goro. If a character has a long enough stagger for the kameo to refresh they can just keep looping it. Sometimes those loops can end with 20% chip damage which is insane. If using armor is the only good option or d2 then that's just bad game design. No push block, no evasive move, some character have no plus frames so fighting against Johnny cage feels like hell with his 9f mid. THE ONLY PUSH BLOCK option with have is with ONE KAMEO ONLY, Mavado, and you have to flawless block, then it cost half a kameo meter and 2 bars like bruh. Why can someone skip neutral with one bar of kameo and BE PLUS while it cost me all my resources to just stop the pressure and not even leading into a combo. There are other reasons why but the list is just too long. So I'm just gonna end it here.

If such Kameo Moves are to exist, the player should be heavily penalized for that. Say, you use Kano Knives and do an unsafe move, you loose all of your 3 bars and full Kameo meter.

I get why people wouldn’t like it, but being able to manipulate a move like Kano knives is just an example of the unique things you can do in MK1 and I like that. But if it really brought more players back to the game by changing it in some way, then I wouldn’t mind it. I love mk1 and want to see it succeed. In other fighting games community when the player base voices there opinions ( which needs to be valid ) the devs actually address the issue . In capcom people voiced there concerns and Mechanical issues with the game . Then season 2 rolled around and they addressed it things like adding more frames to the parry animation . Which a lot of people were complaining about . Adding a new wake up mechanic to balance throw loops . With NRS devs they go radio silent and then make changes that no one ask for . In order to really get that changes the community has to be honest about the game we all paid for . For some reason the mk community doesn’t see it that way .

I thought the kameos were most annoying thing about the game. But the active frames of some animations drive me crazy because they look like multiple different moves until it actually makes contact with you. Kinda makes some things seem unreactable that really isn't, you just can't decipher what is what due to the bad animation. While I don't hate the kameos, I don't want them in another game either. And the problem is people still think Kameos are assists like in versus games when they clearly aren't. That's why there aren't as many ambush kameos like they keep crying for. They are meant to function like a different visual representation of switching variations. They're just extra special moves that can be done like variations but can be done by any character rather than locking those specials to specific character variations. They're more like strikers from KoF99 than any assist fighter. But those people only use the three or so kameos that have ambushes that function like assist games when 95% of the kameo roster doesn't function like that and then claim that's the way the game is SUPPOSED to be played when it's clearly not. That's why they keep nerfing those kameos and making the pros angry lol the dumb elitists don't even realize they are trying to force their own perception of what the gameplay should be even though the devs clearly disagree.

It’s easy to lock you down with assist in mk1 as slow and stiff as it is. This was a terrible example I play numerous tag fighting games and none of them are as annoying as mk1. They’re balanced in comparison lmao NRS has no idea how to utilize assists properly

This isnt the best example to use, however. This game is still full of bugs. All this BS of safe and unsafe is not the issue. The ping will dictate gameplay based on wear you are in the world and how complex the animation is in the move. I've seen alot of problems with screen zoom in and out since Homlander. It's a fact so would any of you steak your gaming rep on a broken game ? People need to understand the difference in playing locally, remotely and in competition. I've played MK since 93- the very 1st MK, so I understand the game. The whole Kano thing is the same as what I've seen with Sonja when you call her n she can fall off screen. I get why fans are pissed but it doesnt change having a broken game 👍

You like my comment a couple months ago and we had a conversation about this Kameo system and I told you Kameo system was deeply embedded into the game and it’s no way they can save it. It only gets worse when you think about it? Nobody is looking for high damaging combos anymore because it getting harder and harder as the game age to open opponents up. So, people pick Kameos base off of Setups and Hard unblockable. That Kano knives throw was a setup. They do an unsafe move with hopes that you combo punish and Kameo save them; off screen . However, you lucky you wasn’t hit- stun/ recovery off the knives.(You would have gotten full combo, he messed up the timing ) It’s done purposely that way with character that can move full screen. Such as Omni man, Raiden, Mileena. Not to mention Kameos have to come from your character side of the screen, making them hard to see if your oppenent moves full screen and Kameo assist after.(Even on a d2. I seen that go wrong😂😂) Anyways, this is the state we are at with this game they want you to be watching the entire screen, even off screen 😂😂Especially with Khameeon😂

Even if you hit the uppercut punish, you still getting hit from off screen kameos. This is not a match up problem. It's using the camera angles to manipulate the match and thats F-up. The pros are the same people who trash the game then next video try and say its in a good place and talk how they don't want to play it or tell you who to play. Tweedy still salty about being beat by the kid. I like him but to be honest he's still salty. And it's because of people like him to trash that tweet knowing it needs updating still and it's only in the hole because they have helped fans turn on the game. I know it has it problems but it game is still fairly new, but he's one of the ones killing the game. Hes the first to shit on his own chracter when the game dropped on top of that why did Evo have nothing but Johnny's and peacemaker? Thank goodness there was a kitana because i main her but seeing the same four characters in the games shows that the kemeos run it. Not the characters themselves.
