Wow. That animation from the 60's looks a hell of a lot better then any of the cartoons made in the US at that time.

Yeah that 60's looks more like 80's in american standards

@@PrinceParzival It's really the only way for traditional animation to survive. It's a ridiculously intensive artform.

By the 60’s, hardly any animation from the United States was of high quality. Virtually every animation studio that wasn’t Disney was producing low-budget limited-animation, for both television and theatrical releases.

@@PrinceParzival if you want to see fluidity, just look at any modern 3D show, in particular trollhunters and skylanders, and keep in mind that most of these were from actual feature length animation, if you count feature length, then you bring a whole new dimension of fluidity and a whole new animation level on the table, just look at zootopia, Moana, shrek 4, the smurfs and the lost village, hotel transylvania 3, the animation level is absurdly high and i’m a prodessional animator BTW

2:17 I remember watching that movie before, I didn't know it was a Japanese anime from 1960. That movie was dub in English.

Don't feel bad, you're not the only one--there is just so much media out there, it's extremely easy for amazing gems to get buried. I too have to look up this man's works.
