Love and forgeting it's the best mod of hotline miami, the history, the soundrack, characters and gameplay, no other mod has so many things done so well, it's pure love to the game and pure pasion about telling a good history with a big work behind, work of assets, work of writing, work to do all of this a masterpiece

I think this is around the same quality as Hotline Miami, but I definitely see where you’re coming from. The anti-violence message in this mod feels a lot more spoon-fed to the player than it is in Hotline Miami, as well as being done slightly worse in my opinion. Here it feels as if it’s shoved in the player’s face, and where Hotline Miami made the player think about their actions with characters representative of the different type of fans that they could relate to, Love and Forgetting just has an admittedly generic gothic shut-in protagonist. None of this to say the characters are bad, by any means, all of them have very fleshed out personalities and some really well written dialogue. Personally I’d say it’s a fine mod, and for the amount of content that’s present in the mod, as well as it’s length, art style, (Good, but slightly flawed) writing and enjoyability it would be a disservice to call it anything but one of the best.

@@tigerlover2853 in this mod characters are a bunch of tired old cliches, it's unrealistic as all hell and the dialogues are some of the corniest shit I have ever seen. The writers would be better suited to teen dramas. In hotline miami the characters feel real even when they draw from some tropes, like the gangster-crooked cop-whatever, and the dialogues are extremely believable, no cringy one liners or forced badass and edgy attitudes. The story is also beautifully interwoven with a lot of hidden details, there's a subtlety that this mod absolutely lacks. It's just really bad.

⁠​⁠@@CsyeCokTheSollytbh it is a MA campaign of course its gonna look “durk and griddy”. Im fine with the visuals cause i imagine this is what post nuclear 2017 would look like, in a world where everyone is big sad. The length of the campaign was actually a good for me, cause i like the story and i like the secrets to it. Literally the only campaign to do the amount of secrets in it, which was refreshing. I am also biased for it, cause it was my 2nd? Campaign ever played. First was garfield. I tjink.
