CloverWorks is on its way to being my favorite animation studio; I've not watched a lot of their shows, but the one's I have are the real deal. I love anime, but I really value good, interesting scenery and shot composition. I understand why character fluidity has to be sacrificed for cost reasons, but sometimes, like it feels like more than sometimes these days, there's an anime that doesn't even look like it's trying to move the characters. And as if that's not bad enough on its own, there's nothing interesting to look at either. No good framing, no point of focus, no thought to blocking, no personality in the poses or faces, like dudes, have you ever heard of storyboards? Meanwhile, there's CW who once a week puts not only high resolution visual with character acting that's too good for TV, like freaking Disney movie movements and expressions and poses, with good cinematography. Like, dudes, you already made her silky smooth hair flap around so realistically as she runs and jumps, you don't have to have genuinely great framing and a diverse bunch of camera angles too, but you did, and I love you for it!

the greatest mystery in this show is still how marin flew across the classroom like that. damn they already experienced episode 2 which should have been titled "fanservice" (great episode, did more fanservice in one episode than most animes do in an entire season), also they prob seen the craziness that was episode 11. overall a fun and beautifully animated season with interesting mc's that i enjoyed, and it'll definitely have a second season, though there's a good chance i won't watch season 2 cause after 12 episodes, i've sort of lost interest in the story itself and the whole cosplay stuff. marin was a damn fun character though
