I really appreciate that it ends on a hug instead of a stupid kissing scene, Stolas has gone through a lot and needs time to heal so the fact they wrote it so perfectly really shows theyre ability to write emotional bits like this.

Yea, they already had a kiss when Blitz saved him. Finishing with another one wouldn't make much sense because Stolas wasn't as broken before until he lost Octavia. So It's more impactful to show us his reluctance to return Blitz' affectionate hug than to have them kissing.

I think part of Via's issue is that she has always been Stolas's entire world since she was born and out of nowhere this imp man comes along and what she thought was a happy life turned bad. She's very sheltered and doesn't understand nuance because she never had to before. Hopefully she's able to work through it while seeing how bad her mom is by contrast.

I understand both sides between Stolas & Octavia. Stolas had to save Blitzθ but Octavia misunderstood it as choosing him over her. Then again, Octavia doesn't know her parents marriage was arranged which Stolas should have talked to Octavia about it long before this whole mess started. Octavia is still young and Stolas going through it was due to his Choices, remember for every decision made, there are consequences... 💔

In this episode it clicks in Stolas's head how much of an idiot he was in the courtroom, he made up this scenario and made up this lie in court, and thought he was sacrificing himself for his forbidden love like in some of his novels he likes to read, or he just imagined having such a relationship like in the novels, and that lie he made up in court was believed by everyone as if it were the truth (it's hard for me to believe that Andrealphus predicted the destructive behavior that Stolas did, because we don't know how much he personally knows Stolas), Stolas could have turned the whole situation around, revealed the false image of Striker, and denied any illegal use of his grimoire, because this case was presented by putting Stolas as a victim, and he could have denied everything and made up excuses because they have no evidence, and Stella wasn't there to testify, but if she was there Stolas could also have redirected that to the fact that they are getting divorced, and given an excuse that she probably made up a story to harm him out of anger, and Satan would have easily bought that story because he didn't care at all about the trial, he was there just because one of the noble families was demanding a trial for something. Stolas realized what an idiot he was, and that his fantasies in his head were just fantasies, and that he didn't want to be poor without power and his daughter, and he really went on a suicide mission because he knew he had no power to protect himself, but he wanted to at least beat up the one who took everything from him.

She doesn't know any of that. Stolas was trying to shelter her from what was happening when she was young. That's why she thinks him and Stella got along, and Stolas only started arguing with her after he met Blitz. She has abandonment issues, so she's mainly scared. Stolas will leave her behind rather than being mad at him for being with Blitz because she doesn't have any problems with him as far as we saw. For Andrealphus, I'd argue he's much better than Stella, but he's also her advisor and if she goes down, he goes down with her. He knows she's stupid as fuck, so that's primarily why he's helping her. He mainly sides with Stella, but he hasn't said anything explicitly to Octavia, cuz I think he just doesn't give a shit, he got what he wanted, which was Stolas' position and power.
