most summer Sundays we grill a chicken so this is perfect for Monday night dinner I am making this for my husband this evening, I try to make up a pot of chili or soup for busy days during the week when I am tired and dont feel like cooking but still want a home cooked meal. You could use pork panko if you can't have the gluten from the panko. We did that for our daughter, and it was delicious.

@@virginiadaneke2362 Thank you for the info. Wish I had a Publix here in Massachusetts! I did just buy some ghee. It was around $8 for 6oz. It’s actually less expensive to make your own and it’s sooo easy. ✌️

You can still get a whole roasted chicken for 5 bucks at Costco, walmart, smart and final, and probably a few other places. How much cheaper do you expect it to get. I have news for you, prices will always keep rising. They dont go down they go up. Look at history.

Could you just transfer this to the oven directly in the dutch oven, so you only end up using one pot? (or make make this in a large cast iron skillet, which you can transfer directly to the oven?)

I never really understood what she was getting at, but she drank a lot and I didn’t care because her garage looked like a beer distributor’s warehouse and I’d usually get knee walking, snot slinging drunk over there. Ive been adding curry powder to my rice when i cook it. I roasted some chichen in the oven. Leg quarters all seasoned n herb n spiced up. But i have been loving my rice along side of fresh baked acorn sqash w butter n honey and also i use it along side minute steak chx fried steak. It can all go into a casserole too. Hope this gives an idea. Love you

Chicken is cheap where i shop, not sure where everyone else is shopping, I know here in Florida Publix supermarkets is always price gouging their customers, i shop at Walmart, Save a lot or Sams club. Coupons do work as well.

That looks good. Was there rice in this dish? I must have missed you putting it in. When I went back and watched again-I still couldn’t find where the rice was added. For me I don’t like big chunks of chicken and would have used 1/2 of that chicken, maybe 1/3- but that’s just what I like. It looks like a great meal though.
