most summer Sundays we grill a chicken so this is perfect for Monday night dinner I am making this for my husband this evening, I try to make up a pot of chili or soup for busy days during the week when I am tired and dont feel like cooking but still want a home cooked meal. I am adding this one to my go to recipes ( thank you!) Memo to myself Keep frozen peas in the freezer and if ambitious 3 C cooked and shredded chicken

You could use pork panko if you can't have the gluten from the panko. We did that for our daughter, and it was delicious.

No kidding. I live alone and can stretch a pound of ground turkey to last me 4 or 5 days. Prices are out of control. Everything at the grocery store starts at 5 dollars and goes up from there.

You can still get a whole roasted chicken for 5 bucks at Costco, walmart, smart and final, and probably a few other places. How much cheaper do you expect it to get. I have news for you, prices will always keep rising. They dont go down they go up. Look at history.

@@virginiadaneke2362 Thank you for the info. Wish I had a Publix here in Massachusetts! I did just buy some ghee. It was around $8 for 6oz. It’s actually less expensive to make your own and it’s sooo easy. ✌️

Ive been adding curry powder to my rice when i cook it. I roasted some chichen in the oven. Leg quarters all seasoned n herb n spiced up. But i have been loving my rice along side of fresh baked acorn sqash w butter n honey and also i use it along side minute steak chx fried steak. It can all go into a casserole too. Hope this gives an idea. Love you

Chicken is cheap where i shop, not sure where everyone else is shopping, I know here in Florida Publix supermarkets is always price gouging their customers, i shop at Walmart, Save a lot or Sams club. Coupons do work as well.

That looks good. Was there rice in this dish? I must have missed you putting it in. When I went back and watched again-I still couldn’t find where the rice was added. For me I don’t like big chunks of chicken and would have used 1/2 of that chicken, maybe 1/3- but that’s just what I like. It looks like a great meal though.
