My grand daughter goes to a place here in Michigan where there is fields of lavender .It s a beautiful sight .They let u pick huge bouquets of lavender .She dries it .Smells so nice .

I love making your gooey butter cakes for gatherings. The last one I made was a lemon gooey. I used store bought lemon curd and it was very popular. Wish I had thought of lavender. The surprise was many of the younger ones at these get-togethers are picking up the pace and wanting the recipes for your wonderful cakes. I tell them look up Paula Deen. Even my mother-in-law loves the classic gooey with toffee pieces in the cake. That's her new birthday cake😀

I have food allergies, and stomach problems I can' eat a lot food that is prepared by cooks like you. No one makes food, for people with food allergies. I still love your show and watch it everyday. You make wonderful food all the time. I just to mention, since mothers day is coming up. My mother died in 2001. Mt sister lost her mother-in --law 4 years ago, and my brother lost his wife 8 years ago. All were mothers. So we don't celebrate Mothers Day as a family. We go to the cemetary to place flowers, then have a small family gathering. No does anything for families who have lost mothers in their family. Keep up the great recipies that you come out with and I will be watching.

Omgosh! I learn something every time!! Been married 32 years and never thought about dragging my spatula along the beaters to clean it… of course! Did y’all see how Miss P got EVERY bit of that batter out of that bowl!!! Love that- can’t stand to waste either. And the little bowl to set your mixer /beaters in between uses etc. Great stuff! I bet the lavender became more prominent as it cooled and stored a few days?❤❤❤

You got to buy laying feed so you're really not saving Any money. But, I sure do miss having chickens of my own, and fresh eggs everyday. We're getting some more soon. But the laying hens themselves are going for quit a bit too, so again not saving any money, but love raising chickens.

@@heidid5275 Yes, I suppose I could freeze or give. Right now, I'm hooked on the mock zucchini "apple" dessert. I love it. I don't make the pie, but do a streusel topping, and I add lots of nuts and raisins to the zucchini mix. Somehow, being zucchini, seems like a Dieter's dessert! ??? I do watch the amount of sugar and have tweaked it a bit.

I'm allergic to lavender but we love lemon desserts in this house! My Mom especially loves anything lemon-coconut. I'm gonna have to try this with a coconut cake mix or maybe add a bit of coconut extract to the vanilla cake mix. Yum!

Charity, I haven't eaten any fast food for 30 years, at least. I remember years ago, when I was working in downtown Pittsburgh, there was a McDonald's at the end of the block. Used to get a salad there and then all afternoon at my desk, I would not feel well, and could never figure it out until one day, I saw them make salads, with outdated bags of lettuce (I overheard one employee asking another whether or not to use it!). That did it for me..never again!!!!

Thats great, I admire your restraint! And also dont blame you on not going back. I gotta admit I did grow up on McDonald's, and it was a treat then. But, me and my daughter's go to place to get a quick bite is subway, I know its not the best place to eat at but definitely not the worst! We used to eat there 2 to 3 times a week, we've cut down to once a week. Its pretty much the only place I'll eat out at, since I started eating better. There has been an occasional Mexican restaurant outing though. We will be eating out the next few days gotta travel to Eufalua tomorrow so she can take an AP test. Then back to Eufalua next Monday and back Tuesday. Ive been dreading these 2 trips!! 😒

Talked about going to the Great Lakes I've always wanted to go there! I hate driving so much I have a huge fear of it, it'll take me longer than most because I avoid the interstate, I know, I know I'm a big chicken 🐔 !!
