My peachface lived a very long time. I watched him hatch in 5th grade. He died when i was 27 yrs old. He was more dog than bird. But i spent sooooooooo much time with him.

We kept the mother and father. They are doing great. The babies became adults and were adopted by different people. We made sure the adopters were people who had a passion for birds and could take care of them properly. We had a few candidates, but some were not qualified (by our standards). We were very selective. We miss them now, but we know they're in good hands.

I didn't realise that they would breed in he absence of a nest box....
