I was completely addicted to love connection back in '85-'86. Was about he same age as these two loveable clowns and the time and they were perfect for each other. So much more fun back then. People said almost anything they wanted with out fear of being attacked. Miss those days.

My dad used to LOVE this show. I'd come home from school and he'd have it on without any shame. Re-watching it now, I will give Chuck credit. He really knows how to handle uncomfortable situations and make fun of goofy people without being mean about it.

@@Elhastezy888 yes! I confused the two shows. Same time period but also because I'm using voice to text and I have a cheap Motorola phone that is no longer American but Chinese. Motorola got sold to the Chinese. 😂 Thank you for that correction and cheers! Hope you have a great weekend.

The Dating Game is an American television game show that first aired on December 20, 1965, and was the first of many shows created and packaged by Chuck Barris from the 1960s through the 1980s. ABC dropped the show on July 6, 1973, but it continued in syndication for another year as The New Dating Game.

Simple days for sure, I grew up in the 80's, miss those days,, today's society is so messed up especially the youth, miss the days where political correctness did not 🚫 exist! These clips bring me down memory lane! It was a great time to be a teenager, young adult!

Young people are inherently vacuous. Better that vacuity take the form of love and enthusiasm than the bitterness and negativity it has taken in the current generation of vacuums (vacuua?). Of course, while these two lovebirds were giggling it up, other Gen-Xers were shoegazing and writing grunge lyrics, so I guess every generation has its malcontents.

@MY CATS COOL Adults in their 40’s making 6 figures shouldn’t be living with mommy & daddy. These days, many 20 year olds make six figures. I understand this administration has significantly increased inflation and I’m disgusted how rents have skyrocketed. That said, I moved out of my parents house long ago and it’s pathetic to even think about mooching off them. They struggle enough financially now.

@MY CATS COOL You do know that interest rates were nearly 20% in the 80’s. People still struggled to provide for themselves back then, but they were more determined to be independent. Having your own place, (even if it was rickety trailer), meant you were officially an adult. Young people of today don’t want the struggle.

This was honestly one of the best looking couples on the show. She was LIGHTS OUT HOT! And he was funny as hell too. Also, impressive that his hair was styled more in a modern way post-2010's. Great episode.
