I was completely addicted to love connection back in '85-'86. Was about he same age as these two loveable clowns and the time and they were perfect for each other. So much more fun back then. People said almost anything they wanted with out fear of being attacked. Miss those days.

My dad used to LOVE this show. I'd come home from school and he'd have it on without any shame. Re-watching it now, I will give Chuck credit. He really knows how to handle uncomfortable situations and make fun of goofy people without being mean about it.

The Dating Game is an American television game show that first aired on December 20, 1965, and was the first of many shows created and packaged by Chuck Barris from the 1960s through the 1980s. ABC dropped the show on July 6, 1973, but it continued in syndication for another year as The New Dating Game.

I understand this administration has significantly increased inflation and I’m disgusted how rents have skyrocketed. That said, I moved out of my parents house long ago and it’s pathetic to even think about mooching off them. They struggle enough financially now.

@MY CATS COOL You do know that interest rates were nearly 20% in the 80’s. People still struggled to provide for themselves back then, but they were more determined to be independent. Having your own place, (even if it was rickety trailer), meant you were officially an adult. Young people of today don’t want the struggle.

I use to watch this at 11:30 pm every weeknight on Summer break from Jr. High. I was 13 and always wondered when he said at the end "hope all your dates are good ones tonight" who would be leaving for a date after midnight? 😂

Not true, they had a reboot a few years back that was pretty good but only lasted 1 season. It was actually a better format up to date, don’t know why it didn’t catch on.
