Let me jump on here- yes she has a family as I am one of her kids. She just sold her company last year and is living happily in Orange County. She told me that most of what she said during her time with Chuck was scripted by the producers. Yes she had 80s hair. Yes my mom is incredibly independent and confident. I do feel she was that way before most woman were back then. She married a wonderful, sweet man. I am very proud to have her as my mom. PS: she is very embarrassed to have done this show, but loving all the comments, good and bad.

it's really pretty nuts how bad the hair was back then. and i remember. i was there. i'm 40 now so then i was a kid.. but i had many perms. the bigger the better.. frizz was fine. crimping irons, teased bangs, lots of hairspray. the health of the hair was unimportant it was all about the size lol. and eyebrow grooming straight up did not exist. makeup was like pink lipstick & blush & blue eye shadow applied with those sponge applicators that came with the product. just look at it. that's actually how ppl left the house.

Not sure alot has improved so much. No more big hair but now it's damaging weaves, extensions, straightening, coloring, fingernails like daggers and many look like aliens. There were alot who didn't do the big hair back then ( myself being one) Shoulder pads were horrendous but some things now are too. Every generation has gone through silly trends.
