My father passed away on June 27, 2023 and when the funeral services started packing up their speakers, this was one of the hymns that i had downloaded and played on my portable speakers to fill the empty void as his coffin was placed into the hearse. Later on June 29, 2023 as his coffin was preparing to enter the cremation chamber, from the viewing gallery, I took out my mp3 player and played this hymn through my portable speakers and just as the hymn ended, his coffin was slowly moved by the machine into the creation chamber. I cannot say how this hymn kept me in check as much as i wanted to cry my eyes out, i had to maintain a strong front for my family as the only child and for my mother and extended families. God bless you papa, we love and miss you.

Remember; if we do great things, but don’t love, we’re like a sounding gong. I’m all for gusto and belting out a hymn, but only if it’s genuinely sung. It has nothing to do with being Catholic. We sang this very hymn at the Memorial Service for The Queen's mother, the late Queen Elizabeth in St Paul's Cathedral, London April 2002. I was on an Easter trip to England from Augusta, GA when the Lady passed away. The BBC had the congregation practice the hymns before the service to insure perfection before broadcasting worldwide. I'm not over it YET!

The words relate the Perfect and beautiful Perfect Love of God which awaits us, and these words are magnified in the words "glory in Thy Perfect Love". What true and beautiful words! She is in Australia with her two beautiful grown up children. Lord I did "seek first the Kingdom of God". Please Lord and our Mother of Heaven please look after them, love and protect them and eternally, help them and keep them in Your miraculous Love and give them reassurance too. Our divine transformation at different levels, as God embraces us as we are taken there, from here(earth), in the fuller Love of God, obviously hidden in Jesus, most likely because of Jesus Promise of return to us. I think Blaenwern has crossed the Atlantic and the compilers of hymn books just need to match it with the words. Goes the other way as well. Found it odd singing this hymn to Hyfrydol. Guess it what you are used to.

I love this tune so much I specially chose this hymn as one of my own wedding's hymnal in 2014. I remember vividly how I could not find a right tune-to-text version and I had to manually photocopy two seperate versions, one with the text on a different tune, another of the tune with different text, and cut out the text from the wrong tune version and paste it line by line, verse by verse over the tune with the wrong text, to submit the final "surgically bound" version to the church.

Blessed is the nation indeed that reaches out to the world with the unchanging message and salvation offered through the appeal of the Lord Father God Yahweh and the Saviour our Lord Jesus Christ. . At a time of division, King Henry the 8th in controversial times had the guts and conviction to make the split with Rome. This has resulted in blessings so many times repeated for the green fertile land of the United Kingdom. So many people in the world today deny Jesus Christ, and view the old testament as a composition of folklore stories that can be relegated to the land of mythology because it was so long ago. Yahweh is without time, and all those faithfully recorded histories from the beginning, and the exodus from Egypt , testify to a supreme supernatural being who is the complete zenith of knowledge, power & authority. There is a Hell, and The Lord Jesus came to deliver us from it. John 3:16. . May the souls of mankind be awakened to the very truth.

Another top favorite of mine, here sung in the key of G. Sometimes it's in Ab, with the resulting top note as high F. Hymn singing is one of the greatest British traditions and it's never fully satisfying without powerful organ support.
