Sure! obvi, SPOILER: The blue girl's mentor from her past life (like her sect leader) turns out to have just used her to find a special jewel that would heighten her sword's powers. Then, her mentor was planning to take her sword and use it with the jewel to kill all demons. This was extremely heartbreaking, bcs blue girl's mentor was like a father to her, and she was even more depressed bcs her gf (red girl) was actually the jewel's human form. Red girl has a lot of powers and was banished from her town when she was little, bcs her jewel power was to attract demons, which was dangerous for her village and caused the death of her mother :( . In the last ep, blue girl fights her mentor and brings back red girl, who had sorta switched personalities, becoming cold and sorta evil bcs of the jewel power. Blue girl isn't able to get thru to red girl, and while they eventually go off together back to red girl's hometown to rest, red girl still isn't fully herself, and we don't know if she'll ever go back to normal. (Just remembered, blue girl is jiang zhaoyun and red girl is a-ze)

I have watched only one other GL (Couple of Mirrors). For some reason, GLs tend to be more serious and dramatic than BLs. I want some cute fluff, gorgeous wardrobe, and scenery, and cliché rom-com tropes. Is that too much to ask? This looks like all other period dramas, so I'm excited to watch! Thanks for shwring!
