I like that it fits tight to the rubicon high fenders but I think it looks too big. I’m looking for a full width bumper for the rubicon high fenders
@c147go2 жыл бұрын
I have the same bumper with 37’s. They stuff horribly into the bumper and prevents steering when you need it most when flexed. I’ll need to cut into it and make some clearance.
@orderofthetravelinghats2362 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. I have heard that exact same thing from at least one other person. 37s and the full length bumper apparently don’t play well. I think trimming the bumper is certainly an option. The other, albeit way more expensive, would be to switch to the stubby version. I can’t remember where it was on a forum or you tube but someone had done that and was very pleased with the result. Hope that is helpful. Again thanks for taking the time to check out our channel.

Hi, any chance you can share photos of the sides of the bumper? I would like to see if the wings of the bumper make contact the fenders. Is there plenty of room or the fenders rest on the end of the bumper' sides?

Can you add some b-roll shots at the end I’d like to to it from other angles
@orderofthetravelinghats2363 жыл бұрын
Sure I can do that easily enough. Anything in particular you are wanting to see? I know there are not a lot of photos or videos out there for this and I admit the decision to purchase one was based on previous experience with he brand.

Hello - What did you do to mount the bumper to the jeep itself? I am having an awful time mounting it up without some sort of crane or adjustable hit trolley device
@orderofthetravelinghats2362 жыл бұрын
I used a floor jack on a short table I had. It was a royal pain in the rear. the Jack gave me the adjustability I needed to get the bolt holes aligned with the frame. Once I had a few of the bolts started the rest were fairly straight forward. I hope that helps, good luck.
@michaellittle59982 жыл бұрын
@@orderofthetravelinghats236 Perfect, the key seems to be aligning the holes without having to lift it. My buddy has an adjusting table so i think that will work! Did you ever get touchup paint from ARB, I have that same scuffing issue?
@orderofthetravelinghats2362 жыл бұрын
@@michaellittle5998 I never asked them for any paint. I have used undercoating and then a flat black to touch up areas. The texture matches and the color is close enough for a bumper on a jeep that I am routinely using off road now.

What is the biggest tire size that this bumper can accommodate without rubbing? I have been planning to get this bumper but I have 37 inches tires.
@orderofthetravelinghats236 Жыл бұрын
I am running 35s with no issues and I think based on the clearance that a 37 would be no problem either.

Is the bumper available without the bull bar? I'm thinking it will block the view of the front cam. Thanks.
@orderofthetravelinghats2362 жыл бұрын
The ARB only comes one way, so far as I know. They have a classic and a stubby model that may be more what you are looking for. I do not have the front facing camera so I can not help with that.

I ordered a new Rubicon and waiting for it to arrive. I have been researching front bumpers and like this one the best. But now wondering if my front camera will be compromised?
@boistoys54512 жыл бұрын
@@michaelraasch4878 I'm with you there buddy. I love the bumper. I don't have my Rubicon yet, so I don't know if it will block the front cam. ARB don't seem to know either.
@orderofthetravelinghats2362 жыл бұрын
@@michaelraasch4878 I do not have the front camera. However the front is mounted relatively high in the grille so it may not be an issue. In my experience with ARB they are very well engineered and likely took this into consideration. If you are serious I would give them a call or an email. I would be curious to know what they say.

What are your thoughts on the weight of the whole bumper? I’m debating between this one or the addictive desert designs full width. And that one is 50 pounds less. Primarily daily vehicle and overlanding
@orderofthetravelinghats2362 жыл бұрын
The weight has not been an issue so far. I am not running the factory suspension. I currently have the mopar 2 inch lift installed. The spring rates on this are slightly different and the shocks are valved very differently from stock. I don't know how the factory suspension will react. I think the addictive desert stuff looks good but I have never really seen one up close. I doubt you would go wrong with either one.

I got it at 4 wheel parts. Our local store here was able to order one. 1327$ plus tax, I bought the winch at the same time/place. The ARB stuff seems to never go on sale but worth the price for sure. The guys at 4WP were great. calling ARB for some touch up paint is a great idea!!

Why do a video like this, but then not show removing/installing the bumper, or showing the winch install, spooling, etc?
@orderofthetravelinghats236 Жыл бұрын
Sorry. This one was kind of in the beginning. A lot of the footage was probably not usable in the final product. I installed and shot the video solo and the bumper was kind of hard to get in place with out another set of hands. And I’ve made other videos about spooling and care of the winch rope. You can go check that out for more information.

Question! Which XRC winch were you able to fit? Is it Gen3? Thanks!
@orderofthetravelinghats2363 жыл бұрын
It has a gen3 9500lb with the synthetic rope. It fits but it’s a little tight. If you took off the plastic trim (I did not as I like the extra protection for the winch) it would have less clearance issues. As it is it just fits but there are some areas with about 1/4 inch of clearance.

I know ARB makes a good product. I think all products are becoming of less quality, doesn't matter which company nowadays.
@orderofthetravelinghats2362 жыл бұрын
I feel that there are a lot more budget options out there and the difference in price separating a more budget product and a high end product has gotten wider. I have had great personal experience with ARB, metal cloak and AEV as well as poison spyder. Can’t go wrong with any of those. But you’re going to pay for them. Thanks for the discussion.
