Slave Zero is one those games that not one really knows about but every one should. The peace of the game doesn't really slow down and the gameplay holds up pretty damn good for this age. The best part is that it's cheap on GOG and Steam and gets even cheaper on sale. It's also one of those old PC games that boots up without having to do work arounds like other old PC games

I agree so much when James said why did they ever stop making good games. Virtual on, igi 1, and 2, old school ghost recon, and rainbow six (siege isn't terrible, but not really R6), Operation flashpoint, and so many, many more. Games used to take chances on new ideas, now 95% of games are cookie cutter fallowing the design of other popular games only changing tiny parts of the game to appeal to larger audience. The truly unique ideas only seem to come from crowd sourcing, and independent developers which means that sometimes the idea isn't executed as well as it could be. PS I'm fat jacked, and Goldeneye did include the proletariat, you were just against them.

Might be because games went mainstream, meaning that big companies will often aim to produce a product that appeals to the masses, just like in the music or in the film industry. Luckily there are exceptions, and developers who are in it for keeping it fresh and pushing boundaries instead of following patterns.

Daniel Mildon I mean't in spirit. They could of named it anything else, and it would still work. I miss the old R6 where you could plan out each room, and load out of you're team, but it's seen as too niche today. Its not so much long standing franchises not changing, it's new IPs copying well selling games to get a piece of the pie without taking a chance.
