I think you miss the point. You probably empathize with Jimmy because he's likely fearful-avoidant. Because he's not able to talk about his own needs he ends up minimizing other people's needs when they clash with his own. He's a habitual people pleaser which misleads people to like him for appearing to have something tangible to offer and when they get too close, he switches gears to needing to get away. He's not able to be up front about what his true personality is like (because his greatest fear is being labeled the bad guy) and people get drawn in by the inauthentic people-pleasing thinking he's genuinely interested in getting to know them when in reality he just doesn't want to be disliked by anyone. Regardless of someone else's clinginess he lacks the care and empathy necessary to just say "You have different needs than I do but that doesn't make them any less important." Instead he ends up becoming super defensive whenever he sees someone get hurt by him because that's a massive trigger for him. And people who have an anxious attachment style like Chelsea will get more clingy the more a guy pushes them away because instinctively they need to know what's happening.

The thing with this show is that the contestants are using it more as a clout collecting show (IG/tiktok growth) and/or a free tropical vacation, rather than trying to find love. - Jeramy (or whatever his name is spelled) broke up with his girlfriend before boarding the flight. - Trevor had a girlfriend when he got on the show, texts exposed him where he texts his girlfriend his tactics on the flight there, how he’s gonna “play the nice card game” and how he doesn’t plan on falling in love with anyone on the show. - Also, texts leaked of Jimmy having a girl back home too, but he’s denying even knowing that girl…???? This show wasn’t as genuine as it used to be in seasons 1-3. These contestants found loopholes.
