I have a feeling that this is how Marissa acts for every break up. She comes across as a person who falls in love quickly. And takes it hard when the other person doesn't feel the same.

First of all, I really value your reviews. TREMENDOUSLY! I’ve been dying to review this after watching last night but many KZbinrs that posted content just would not suffice and I couldn’t bare listening to their entire reviews. You ladies provide balanced, fair, thoughtful and sensible commentary that I enjoy even when I don’t always agree with all of it. It’s such a breath of fresh air listening to you. I’m having a proud big sister moment over here. Lol 😆. That being said, I appreciate your comments on Ramses and Marissa. I agree and felt more clear about Ramses’ reservations after seeing Marissa’s responses, especially in defense of the indefensible behavior of Hannah. Also it was weird that she broke out crying immediately like it’s all so fresh like she hasn’t done ANY self reflection or internalized too much of what he was saying as an outright rejection of her. It just seemed like she has a lot of maturing to do as far as how she hears feedback. I think Hannah is trash. Her parents don’t even seem like they want to be bothered so maybe it’s not all her fault but she’s not fit for people at this time if she’s not willing to work much harder on her projection behaviors. Calling podmates her “very best friend in the world” is weird as heck! I don’t buy any of that stuff they were trying to pen on Nick and it feels like this is a pattern with this franchise where the women become some hive mind during the reunion, zeroing in on certain targets. It’s gross watching it. I actually kept fast forwarding. I have a different take on Alex. Having not one but 2 chronically ill parents is incredibly overwhelming and it changes who you are and how you show up. When you’re constantly faced with medical emergencies that can be life-ending, other parts of your life take an extreme backseat. You’re basically just surviving moving through life trying to find whatever escape you can from the inevitable life altering events that can happen at any moment. Looking at Alex’s responses under that lens, it all makes sense to me. Her messy apartment, her seemingly indifference to Tim seeing it just screams to me that she’s someone who has to manage how she spends her physical and mental energy. It comes off as cold and aloof but it’s really just energy rationing. It will take a person who is very well adjusted, understanding and not needy to be with her. Tim is the opposite of all of that.

Ooh this is an interesting take on Alex!!! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for sharing I agree with all your points, especially with Alex. I am in my 30s and have MS. I have two children and already see signs of how they approach my sickness. I'm a very active mom and to see my steady decline has been hard for them. So I resonated with Alex. Of course, we don't know her and its speculations. However, I agree that your perspective may be valid. She is probably taking on a lot and Tim is not a partner that appears to be a safe space. I stand on that the fact she handled that first argument horribly. And can understand why he did not want to be with her after that. However, she set boundaries that he felt entitled to ignore because he “loved heR.” secondly she did inform her it was something with her family and she reassured Tim it wasn't him. He confirmed it during the reunion. He said “I know it was a family thing but…” in another interview, she said that someone was talking about their dad at the party and that triggered her to get emotional. I believe they both need healing and need a different type of partner. Alex needs someone softer and well-adjusted like you said. I believe Tim is a child of the red pill and wants someone who will follow his lead, and give no pushback. I hope he grows. They were a complete mismatch.
@moptop435518 күн бұрын
@@sdecastro_msquoted100% I find it how people have been bypassing how Tim has been distorting the truth and the series of events. Each and every time Alex corrects him, he stays silent and agrees. He never spoke up to clarify that she was not abusive and yet allowed the internet to believe otherwise. Only after she clarified he agreed. Even on the show he seemed to enjoy antagonizing her to get a rise out of her. His petty attitude towards his ex and the way he kept saying he wanted a someone who fights back. I watched Alex’s interviews and it checks out that she was overwhelmed, overworked, emotionally exhausted. She actually seems really level headed and soft in the interview. Everything she has said has always been consistent, which is why I’m not convinced on Tim.

I feel like Tyler is an asset to Ashley. She wanted a husband and I think she can sense that Tyler needs her more than she'll ever need him. I think she believes that her bulldog energy to defend their relationship will be rewarded with him being loyal and faithful to her, and ya know maybe that will be the case. But her completely ignoring that she is now a step-mother to his children and that she's gone a year without even reaching out to get to know them shows her intention to be like "don't worry about those other kids Tyler, we'll make our own."

I agree with your entire take on Ashley and Tyler. It was fun listening to you cover all the thoughts running in my head, in a hilarious way. Lol 😂. You were sensitive to the matter while still truthful and funny as hell. “We actually like you Ashley” lol 😂. She took it all so wrong. Most of us were giving her the benefit of the doubt and sad about what we thought she was unknowingly signing up for. Now that she’s come out it just seems like regular smegular drama that exists even amongst the prettiest black women. Her relationship with her dad and other men in her life set her to be amenable to scraps. I truly want more for her but I’m very skeptical of Tyler and his family & all they have going on.

I definitely think Ramses is the villain. To say that Marissa drained him was so mean. The fact that Marissa wanted to stay in a relationship with him without the marriage or engagement and he said no, says alot. Especially, since she said he never expressed doubts before that night. I think he came on the show for fame, it went too far and he pulled the plug right before the wedding. Ramses isn't the only one. I think Nick wanted to stay on the show for fame as well, despite not being attracted to Hannah.

I don’t see Ramses as a villian either. As a fellow quiet quitter, we’re not being malicious it’s often just building up the courage to voice our concerns. Someone like Marissa wasn’t going to be able to read his uncertainty and leave herself, she was in too deep. Her mom was right, he did her a mercy. He also sat and took his lashings. Tyler should have done the same for Ashley.
@blythewinter767923 күн бұрын
I’m also glad that they clarified Nick and Hannah were equally disappointed at the reveal. I kept wondering why he had this vacant stare when she would berate him. It wasn’t saintly patience as they’re describing. This man was clocked out.
@birdi3beez23 күн бұрын
Normally, I would agree it isn’t malicious but in his case I don’t trust that. Lol. I think I don’t trust it b/c he kept kept being intimate with her. And yes that’s consensual. She probably enjoyed most of it but I don’t think she enjoyed the frequency with which they were having it. That man was wearing her out😭 He knew she was being accommodating towards him and his enormous sexual appetite😵💫. Ignoring her own desires and chronic illness to satisfy him. Idk, if I know someone is doing all this for me and I have doubts, I’m going to do the kindness of telling them as soon as I have the doubts. He was careless and that just wound up hurting her even more than had he been upfront. He’s too old to not know himself and what he can/can’t handle

32:40 Objection! Cause I’m part of the Marissa defense squad. Legal team of one lol. Currently looking for a second chair😂 Per her digital interview with glamour, they ceased communication after he broke things off in late Oct 2023. In Feb/March 2024 she was in DC and they ran into each . They started talking again. She asked if he wanted to give them another shot. He said no🌚 After that they stopped talking until the show started airing( Oct 2024). Her mom talked to him the day they broke up not six months later. And Marissa didn’t say she slept with him after the break up. She said in response to Hannah spinning the block with Nick, we all do foolish things we end up later regretting. For her, it was ever sleeping with Ramses. A light little jab lol😁 But I agree she should have let Hannah defend herself. And she should be selective in what she gives her energy to. But she’s a lawyer so I get it 😭 Anyway, Great, fair review as always. Even if I don’t agree with everything, I always end up gaining a new perspective.🙌🏽 Glad this season is over. Ashley can’t deny that once he revealed he was a donor, he had lied to her by omission in the pods. Also, considering the fact she really didn’t know him, although they were quickly engaged due to the show’s timeline, you’d think she would find the information about the donor situation bazaar enough to ask pointed questions. However, she only asked one question about the children and Tyler lied about that as well. With all of the information you can now obtain on the internet, it’s incredible that she didn’t look him up to get more information.

Unfortunately, people deserve what they choose and Ashley is a big girl. If she felt she could do better than Tyler, she would have. For her to be simple-minded enough to confuse the audience being supportive and concerned for her for messiness shows she is a committed player on Team Bird. They clearly are yoked in alot of the same low vibrational areas so best of luck to them, until Tyler decides to show out on her again, even bigger next time. I’m surprised that you don’t mention how Garrett promised up and down he will follow Taylor to San Diego but he didn’t end up doing it. At times it seemed like bc he was saying all these things like “I’ll follow her anywhere” and didn’t follow through on that promise. A lot of men would do the same and it’s disappointing to see another example of that.

We touched on this a little. We had a discussion about how men seldom seem to move for their wives but society seems to expect a woman to move for her husband. And we ended by saying that hopefully some day Taylor gets her dream of moving back home

assuming a lot. three people were involved in that tyler situation. she chose to believe her husband just like you chose to believe bri. the ex wife has a different story from bri. only those involved know the true true and since they are humans they could be lying. tyler was clearly being vague and cagey on stage so we dont know his full side of the story or what he told ashley but whatever it was, it was sound enough for her to stand by her man so #grace #differentperspective unless they come back next season in the audience i personally dont see how i will get an update so good luck to all i guess.

I agree with you about Ashley’s appearance at Reunion. Actually, the issue should never have been brought to the screen. Tyler was right to not want the discussion in front of the cameras - for the children’s sake. It was Ashley’s decision to do it this way and now she and he and the children and their moms have to live with the consequences.

This is absolute nonsense. If it was about the kids, the last time Tyler saw them wouldn't have been the day before he went on the show. And then the next time he talks about them, he didn't think they knew what he looked like???? Tyler is lying!!! and trying to save face. Please do not give him a pass. I wish she had not done that because now everyone is discussing this very messy situation. He definitely is to blame for bad actions and judgement and she is covering him. So sad. I wish them all luck.
@PixieMermaid-fz9rt23 күн бұрын
I completely disagree that its not Ashley's responsibility to address Tyler's lack of relationship with his kids. When she said her "I do's" she is now legally his children's step-mother. They are her family and those kids have done nothing to deserve being abandoned by their father because he married Ashley. My mother told me that when she first met my dad that he did not have a relationship with his two kids from his first marriage. My mom reached out to his first wife and they gradually bonded and fostered a connection. Eventually my parents married and I have a good relationship with my half-siblings, but it may not have been that way were it not for my mother doing her part as a step-parent to my dad's kids.
