Hello again, so happy to see you with your new reaction to ABBA songs "Gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnight)" is a song influenced by American disco, after the success of the Bee Gees and the movie 'Saturday night fever" from the year before In this song you can see part of the volume and range of voice that the blonde singer Agnetha has ABBA was preparing their 1979 Tour of America and Europe, in the previous one , They recorded this song and filmed the official video (at these time Agnetha & Björn wasn''t more a couple) These is an official video in which all ABBA is seen in the recording studio, including staff musicians (bass, guitarist and drummer) and sound engineer Michel Tretow at the controls, creator of the well-known 'ABBA sound' with his innovative 'wall of sound' multiplication technique (an adaptation of the works of Phill Spector) These is a short versión, the recording of the single is more than 4 1/2 minutes (with a solo instrumental) But in last months ABBA did a new official lyric video of "Gimme gimme gimme" full versión The introduction and the instrumental ending, that characteristic sound of Benny's keyboards, is what Madonna used for her worlwide hit "Hung Up" in 2005, 26 years later... (with the permission of the composers Björn and Benny, granting them share the credits) Surely for the latter, with almost 370 million views, this is the second official ABBA video with the most views on KZbin (behind "Dancing Queen", which has almost 690 million views) and also for this last reason, surely "Gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnight)" is much more popular now than in its time when it was released it was #3 in the UK, it wasn't even released in the US now also a centerpiece at the new ABBA Voyage concerts in London Another interesting date is that these is one of songs tgat ABBA recorded in spanish: "Dame Dame Dame" (1980) and ABBA performed it in an interview to Spanish TV Thank you again for these video See you in the next ; GOD bless you My best regards from Buenos Aires , Argentina 🇦🇷 South America

Hello Eduardo, so nice to connect with you again. Thank you so much for all the information. I had no idea this was a shorter version or that it had been done in Spanish as well...very cool fun facts. It is a fantastic song and I agree it is more popular now then when it came out. I will definitely do more Abba for you. 🤩💜

Because this is indeed a wonderful video, showing studio footage of the recording, and it is great to see .. Such a fun feeling and so interesting to watch .. Cheers from Sweden. Do more ABBA!! Please! "Name of the game" is a stunner, complex and a good choice. "Mamma Mia" is ground-breaking and you will see why when you watch the video. I think you also should do "Andante, andante". It is under-rated but a fantastic love song from a female perspective. A couple of other great love songs are "I have been waiting for you" and "My love, my life". The former is often played at weddings here in Sweden. P.S. Please make a playlist for your ABBA reactions. It makes it easier for your audience to check out what ABBA reaction you have already done.... and to find them.

@@playitagainsue Thank you yourself for interesting review and a good work. Superficially, ABBA seems to be about the ladies voices, the harmonies, the production, or the tunes. But, at least as important are the lyrics and it is very rewarding to give them some attention. The later in ABBA's career, the more important the lyrics got. Hence, some of their best work is unfortunately under-rated.

Thanks for the ABBA. If you haven't seen the live from Wembley video is even better at showing off their skills. Agnetha hits those notes, holds them and adds vibrato at this end with such perfection. And it's even more uptempo. I'm sure any ABBA reactions will get views but if you're looking for requests "The Day Before You Came" from their last appearance on on "'Show Express" in 1982 is one pf my favorites.

At first, Björn declined Madonna's request. "Write your own songs" he replied. Madonna followed up by sending them a copy of the already-recorded song and, after listening to the record, they agreed. Ulveus and Anderson are mentioned among the writers on the single, so royalties go their way too. Speaking about happiness and feel-good songs, in my opinion 'Bang-a boomerang' is top of the list. If you do 'The day before you came' as suggested by others, please do 'Cassandra' as well from the same Express Show.

one more comment I think it's great that the next reaction to ABBA's songs is... "The name of the game" (1977) because it's a fantastic song, very complex and brilliant at the same time, and because it's one of the nine ABBA singles that went #1 in the UK So far you have made 3 ABBA reactions: S.O.S. (1975) Hole in your soul (1977) Gimme Gimme Gimme (1979) all three are very good songs (especially "S.O.S." is a Rock & Pop Masterpiece), but neither was #1 in UK these nine songs have a plus, they are pure dynamite: Waterloo Mamma Mia Fernando Dancing Queen Knowing me knowing you The name of the game Take a chance on me The winner takes it all Super Trouper and I wish you to have them as a priority for future reactions to ABBA with "Chiquitita" too that although it was #2 in the UK is the biggest success of ABBA in HispanoAmerica

@@playitagainsue thank you so much for your lkind words Surely all ABBA fans will enjoy these undisputed greatest hits All nine have official videos and TV presentations to choose which one to take I would only make an exception with "Waterloo", because their live performance at Eurovision 1974 is historic, iconic and exciting. there the 'ABBA Legend' was born and that is why I consider that it is more important to see that performance in competition than any other video (but Is only my opinión)

Hi Laura, thanks for tuning in and for the suggestion. I have never heard the one you mentioned so I would be happy to check it out. There is a small joke about the blue m&ms between Chels and me. Early this year when we started the channel, Chels was joking around about me not providing her what was in her rider and the main thing was her blue m&ms. I believe the 1st mention of them was in the chic video, Freak Out but i could be mistaken. Anyway the blue m&ms have been mentioned 3 or 4 times in other videos. I actually presented her with them in a video...i think CCR vid but again I could be mistaken haha. Anyway it is a running joke that pops up every once and a while 🤩
