This could totally happen around us and is a realistic situation. From what I understand, you are not encouraging it but at the same time not age-shaming a relationship like that. So I am myself married (2nd marriage) to an 18 year older man who I met while I was recovering from my past trauma. We got along together, had our careers set and took the plunge after knowing each other for 2 years. Yes, it's tough to not get judged, or worry about the future age-related issues but our family accepted us happily and welcomed us with open arms after some Q&A sessions of course 🤪. Today i am 39, we have a beautiful 4 year old daughter and planning our next baby. One thing that keeps me away from societal pressure is that I am not living in India, I am in the US but you are absolutely right about this raising eyebrows even here but to a much milder extent. At the end, we are all responsible for our own actions and make our lives what we want it to be.

Irrespective of gender, I'd like to say, a huge age gap can bring lots of difficulties...there are many biological reasons behind it..above all in recent times, a gap of 3-4 years can also bring a huge generation gap...dating a guy/girl 18 years older might sound cool, but that's impractical...now someone will say our ancestors used to have huge age gap, but time has changed...but if now also someone can manage a beautiful relationship with no hidden agendas behind, with the age gap of 18 years then a salute to them

Age diff do matters. Dont say one will marry a person of opposite sex of old age. Age must be kept in mind as marriage is no joke. It not only requires trust and love but also time. That comes through physical love and caring. But not that also the person should ignore a other for age sake. If you soon to be partner is 2 or 5 or may be 10 years elder or younger and if all is ok then fine. I guess over 20 years will matter in many ways. Its partical to think rather than to take decision out of open minded brains. Irony is that if a women is 2 to 5 years elder then the men then its considered nonsense and the women/girl is taken for granted. But if she is of bit younger then the men/boy then its ok. Thats the hard play now a days.

It is shame in today's generation that couples of same age unable to understand better themselves and part there ways away in a short span of time with minute misunderstanding and dramas.
